The 2020 weigh-in thread

At 5’7” 77kg isn’t good. It’s all around the middle, clothes noticeably tighter.

Weekends are my downfall and that’s where the change will come from. Too many crisps and biscuits :grimacing:

I ate really well yesterday at work, then went home and smashed some chips, a muffin and some chocolate. Really regretted after. I dont know why I do it. It wasnt even because I felt hungry.

Exactly what I do. Other than a general trend, which to be fair the withings app is quite good at portraying, I can’t see the point in weighing at variable points in the day. There will just be too much volatility. There’s already enough day to day as it is!

I’m seeing the general trend in the right direction. Close to seeing a number under 72 again on a recurring basis.

The body fat number is probably a better indicator, as that’s more steadily trending down. The withings reports this as kg of fat. You can see my pre holiday baseline was significantly lower, so I really did just pile on junk weight whilst away

The analogue scales at the gym this morning have me at 80Kg exactly (in gym kit), so I’ll take that as hitting my next milestone of sub-80. Next stop 12 and half stone.

67.5Kgs down down, deeper and down

Nice 2000m swim this AM.

I love swimming when:
*there’s no-one in your lane for most of your swim
*there are lasses swimming front crawl in other lanes - I actually admire the grace, the beauty, well, when they’re good swimmers - am I weird?!?!

Gone back to weighing myself daily, 75.1kg again, so very heavy for me, but still way too cold to go out on the bike.

Balmy 2 degrees today

-1 and snow. Do we need a today’s temperature/weather report thread I wonder  :joy:

Bet you had a great Xmas…!

It was new year. Round at friends and ate my own body weight in Kung Po Chicken.

Cheeky mid week weigh in and dropped 4.1kg in Jan. If I do the same in Feb I’ll be back to ‘normal’ weight really…dying for a beer and a bag of peanuts though.

Ha, know what you mean - I’ve been off the coffee, alcohol and shit food since 13/1 up to 14/2 and I am missing it all. Got a whiff of some real coffee the other day, hmmmmm, made me realise that I love it and do miss it. Everything in moderation I guess.

67.0 kgs this AM, getting bored of healthy food, salads, smoothies, peppermint tea (and the odd decaff so not given up the caffeine then!). Getting near to race weight, think I’ve peaked too early

Photographing yourself on the scales; it’s a slippery slope!

I’m having to do that as I’m short sighted and can’t see that far down - plus the dog has eaten my glasses.

First time under 71kg since before Malaga for me this morning. Again, largely dehydration I would have thought. Fat mass per the scales is still showing >1kg above where I was in early December, so certainly still some shifting to do. Continuing to head in the right direction at least.

Reintroducing commuting definitely helps, although not my TBS. I’m -50 currently! :see_no_evil:

Hmm, naked, reflective scales. Serious risk of unintentional bollockage/cockage when taking pictures.

Apparently it’s really cold in his bathroom as he left the window open.
