I’m on an FB group about RED-S and there was a thread just this week about being injured and essentially cutting back calories further, when they should be prioritised.
Ultra running has a lot to answer for.

My world of brekkie (blueberries, rice pops with oat milk then a few nuts), lunch huge smoothie, tea (who calls it tea?!?!?) 2 x wholewheat pittas and salad followed by apple and orange is really paying off. Weight not coming down ketosis style, just nice and gradual. Even had 3 full meals yesterday including a curry yum yum.
I will be sub-67kgs next week, a rare event for me, yipppppeeeeeeeeeeee
Last day of Veganuary today, but I’ve really enjoyed it, so will carry on with it, for the time being. My weight has stabilised at 71kg but there’s more to come off gradually.
I’ve always enjoyed cooking so it’s nice to be cooking more stuff from scratch, making an enormous vat of stuff then freezing the rest. Had a lovely Dahl last night with sweet potato. Don’t feel like I’m on a diet or missing out on stuff, which I guess is why it’s working.
Strong Cheddar cheese? The casein might give you the ‘hit’ you’re looking for; opium from cows basically.
Hmm, is swapping chocolate for cheese much of an upgrade?
I love cheese and biscuits, but it has to come with a bottle of wine
Well, you won’t have as much unused sugar floating about in your system…being turned into fat cells.
I had to make a new hole in my belt this week so was hoping for a good drop. But only 0.3 kg. Bit of a disappointment. I was out on the lash last night so possibly a bit of beer bloat!!
January ended at 104.6, so 5 kg in Jan, pleased with that. Carrying on with the vegan thing, the only thing I am really missing is cheese, I will sacrifice that.
67.6kgs, phew, survived the food battering weekend of a friend’s visit. Nice few hours run today reccying part of the Southern Upland Way and finishing at home should blow out any cobwebs. Should be snowing on the tops, looking forward to that.
180.4lbs this morning.
81.8kg.
Ouch. At least I’ve not shrank and am still 186cm
70.3kg last night.
86.3, down 300gms
I understand now, why you like the 113 course so much
71 kg
Post quiche.
94.5kg - back into the 14s for first time since before Christmas.
Going to carry on dry for a while longer, progress isn’t coming easily and alcohol calories are an easy win.
86.6kg this morning, weight coming off is slowing down but it’s still heading in the right direction even with an utterly garbage weekend food and drink wise!
YUP! Time triallists build, but who can also shift on the run.
I can’t drag my sorry ass up hills at all
IMUK…!!!
There not steep they just go on forever…
Yeah, I’m hoping they’re like Cat and Fiddle, Long Hill, Goyt Valley, etc.
But I will see, once I’ve been for a recce.
Waiting for that, after what you said about course changes…
Ive still not got a battery for the scales, but whilst my activity levels are starting to grow and hold consistently, so are my eating habits!
I ate 7 shortbread fingers on Sunday with my afternoon tea. Not sure why, they were really rubbish, not even nice ones. I just couldn’t stop myself dunking and scoffing. I’m not going to get too worried for another couple of months though. #freegainz then when i start running properly!!!
