Good man!
Got 10km in this morning, super steady on stiff legs from last night’s duathlon. Then rode to work.
Have been unexpectedly called in to work tomorrow, wife needs car so I will have to ride again so that’s another 40km, which bring 4 day bike total to 150km (3 commutes + 1 duathlon). Not sure if I’ll have the appetite to run 11km after that, this may be the end of the 496 challenge road for me
on the other hand what a wuss because that’s still less than 1 IM of biking and running, and it’s spread over 4 days. So maybe I should man up
14,552 steps for 10.08km today.
Probably a bit more, but missed recording some distance.
Thats all walking.
Back to running tomorrow.
Day 10 done, another bitterly cold day.
Would have much rather spent that hour on the turbo if I’m being honest!
Another day done though
I’m putting my “cold boy” on and going on Zwift this morning, waiting until it warms up a bit later today
Then it’s an afternoon 11km / morning 12km
That’ll be the longest I’ve ran since the 113 back in 2022
Knew there was no way I’d want to run after riding home this evening , so drank a can of hard and went at 6am
Having said that, the weather here is so nice for running right now, it’s no hardship really (sorry). Just need to stay awake all day at work …
Not sure how far I feel like rolling with this madness. Definitely not 496km. But body still feeling good & it’s weekend here tomorrow, so might knock out a 12 & a 13 after all
& then take it one day at a time
I’ve got some chafing from last nights run that’s annoying me this morning.
Will see how that goes, don’t fancy rubbing myself red raw everyday!
Vas up and truck on
That happened to me last Saturday, so I just did as @gingerbongo said and liberally applied the Vaseline
Those massive pots are ~£5.
Great value.
@fruit_thief - so you didn’t run/walk 10km y’day?
There’s no catch up options
EDIT: @Doonhamer - I’ve re-read that now ah! I’d misread this as he cycled to work, had a can of hard, then went at 6am today
GOOD WORK FRUITY!!!
He did.
Not run/walk, no.
RAN
how’s the knee after your tumble? Not too bad hopefully?
I re-read it now
Knee is fine after a couple of days of walking.
But I’m knackered after the last two days😴
Up at 5am. 6am ish train. Home by 7:30pm.
Just having a spin on Zwift now, after walking the dogs
Run later on
AND ITS DONE.
11km at 5:19/km
Longest run since 10th July 2022
Ouch.
9.8km run, 2.4km walk this morning.
A bit annoyed, as I’d planned to set off earlier, but Waitrose didn’t open until 8am and I needed to pick up some supper
Looking like 2km wu, 5km parkrun, 2km cd -+ 4km walk tomorrow
EDIT: Strava has robbed me of 400-500m
Garmin had it right, I’d mapped it prior to setting off, but the trace had just cut out way way before I stopped
Well, did 12km too. Beautiful sunset run, got properly into daydream mode and before I knew it was almost home. Does anyone else think about the most random stuff while running? Today I was mainly thinking about capibaras and whether they prefer bathing in warm or cold water
Body still feels fine, but I’ll be taking this abject insanity one day at a time from here on. First hint of chassis trouble I’ll be out faster than you can say “pool lounger”.
Apparently they love a hot spring
Yes always thinking of random stuff whilst on a run.
We didn’t get a report from Adam on Day 11 or today? Already out?
it appears your right
Adam had a case of the chaffs I think? (For avoidance of doubt, this comment unrelated to capybara video)
Yep. Thursday got completely away from me.
Haven’t run today either and I’m fine with that, actually going to go for swim.
I really wanted to get to two weeks but I didn’t get ‘stuff’ done until gone 11 and there’s no way I was headed out especially when the baby has been waking up e every night between 1 and 3 - but excuses
I’ve also “cheated” and walked a fair old bit of it and split it up and divvied it out.
Actually, I’m in the office every Thursday and alternate Wednesdays for the rest of this month, too
Already plotted my Nuneaton to Coventry route, via the canal
So just hop off the train there at 0709 and jog the 17km to work.
@fruit_thief - impressive stuff fella.
@Adam you have a full time job (I think), a baby, and cold atmosphere!
I have… er… none of those things & still almost copped out yesterday
Entirely fair play to you & good effort
