The Fan Dance

yep…sadly i handed mine back in (S6)

Ken is going off on one again on Instagram. Posted some “facts” about covid, which the IG AI then flagged as having been fact checked and proven bollocks, now hes calling a conspiracy on that.

Do Wales have a ‘Roadmap’ out of restrictions yet? I would have thought the FD should be okay for July this year…

I look forward to KJ’s edifying emails and ally dits, with a side of passive aggression to get me bully’d-up for the final chukka :upside_down_face:

not that i’ve seen.
trying to work out when i get up to Snowdonia for my ‘lads weekend’. End of April was our original plan, but that may be a little tense still. So maybe a move to just before the summer hols … but with stuff opening up that may affect my friends’ freedom as they’re all in outdoor type stuff, so will likley be taking bookings for their own services by then.

May have to go for a ‘dark’ mission instead

This has been a talking point for my CC. they are organising a week long trip to Elan Valley Lodge and it’s all contingent on the restrictions. The trip is July 17-24.
I’ve been asked if I want to go but that’s 5wks after SDW100 and I’m not sure what shape I will be in. (not a good one probably).

But I’d love to hire a motorhome and go back to Hillend Campsite in the Gower, that place was great.

As for FD, tbh I’ve written it off and contributed to Ken’s ‘how to be happy’ therapy.

Have been drunk many a time at that place! Great memories, and a place we need to get back to visit over the next few years.

Went there just after I finished my final uni exams. Great trip, some excellent drinking. Got some of the worst sunburn in my life there when we decided to play boules for the full length of the beach while drinking and not paying any attention to the fact it was sunny.

That’s a very long game! :joy:

I really liked it there. Really good family friendly site and no dogs allowed (flame suit on ).

Pretty good surf but the trek across the dunes was a chore. Great trail running to Roshilli Bay and Worm’s Head (?). I didn’t time it right for a crossing though.

Yeah, seemed like a good idea at the start but by half-way we were just hauling the jack as far as we could to try and get it over and done with!

Hurt my big toe while playing, never been the same since. No idea what I did.

You’ll also have to wait until you can travel for exercise & the reopening of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Hopefully this will all happen around the same time, because I am also keen to be able to get to my local hills.

I can understand why they’ve done it (closing the Beacons) but as ever, the irony is that people can still go to supermarkets and local parks, where the risk of transmission is greater.

Preaching to the choir here mate.

I assume the logic is that they want to discourage people from travelling from outside the area, potentially from areas with higher infection rates.

The Welsh guy on EMBN didn’t seem to have any qualms about travelling from Wales to Dartmoor with his crew to film a segment. I wonder how that would go down if I rocked up with some mates at Breacon?
