The over 50's

I had a snooze at 7:30 last night… I only got back up (8:15-9pm) because the wife said have you gone to bed (just having a rest…)

Happy Christmas btw… I mean, Happy Birthday… thats old age for you, easily confused.

I managed to get out of bed without injuring myself. Does that count? Welcome to the club.

One session - no, a quarter of one session - is enough

All those years of paying tax repaid in a small envelope :joy:

Hope it’s all clear!

My brother did one of those a few months ago and it came back with “anomalies”

The follow up procedures didn’t sound like much fun.

First, he had a camera down his throat to take a look at his stomach.

Then for the second test, he had to take a strong laxative to flush his system and then he had to swallow a capsule, which filmed his insides as it made its way through him and out the other end

The whole process wasn’t much fun, but it all came back clear in the end :man_shrugging:

That sounds like the picolax story :poop::joy:

The GF had some of those as well but got the all clear.

Yeah, I’ve never seen him move so fast

The effects went on for a few days after too

It’s absolutely awful all the procedures. And my family has an extensive history of stomach, intestinal, and bowel diseases (incl cancer). So I have at least one of these procedures to look forward to in my future.

My mother now just refuses the intrusive investigations as she just finds them too painful and too stressful.

You kind of hope they give those a good scrub before the next person has to swallow it

The funny thing is I thought the first line was the name of the village.

My wife and I did one early last year, just for fun, oh, sorry wrong forum.
Not for fun, both over 50 now.

But on a seriously note, it was a bit of a worry, what if, I assumed a lot more testing. Thankfully that wasn’t the case.

PS I know I should not joke but it is just my way of making this stuff easier.

Morning all! I used to be a TriTalker yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago (like 15 or 20 years ago) and did my last tri in 2017. I’m 50 next March and agreed to dust off the tw@that and skinsuit and join my daughter in the Crystal Palace Tri next month. I may look like Daddy Pig in lycra but I’m genuinely looking forward to getting back into it.

Any tips for a fat lad? Has Tri changed much in 10 years?

Difficult to say - my last triathlon was IMUK in 2012

I suspect that Mrs T has long since burned my trisuit
