Swap the foil in the fencing for a craft knife or a kitchen knife and you’re sorted for the ghetto kids 
I think we’re onto something here, maybe we should draw up a list of the full 5 events of the new ModUrban Pentathlon.
I retract my previous suggestion of XC MTB, maybe something like snatching handbags or phones on a stolen eBike or Scooter has greater relevance and also tests the reflexes better.

and whoever you snatch them from is automatically your opponent in the fencing, there would have to be some ringers dressed up as frail people though to add some fun

Ps. I’m clearly not down with the kids as it took me a while to work out why you thought kicking drills with the float held vertically was appropriate.

At school, our German tutor turned out to have represented Israel at the 1968 Olympics in fencing. We got about 10 lessons from him, before they realised it wasn’t the best idea to let us all loose with foils! Brilliant fun though!

Well it looks like they’ve worked out what to do with the Modern Pentathlon issue, in the Olympics at least. They’ve binned it off!
From LA '28 they’re dropping weightlifting, boxing and MP, replacing them with permanent spots for surfing, climbing and skateboarding.

Climbing is scored objectively not subjectively - time up the wall for the speed distance and number of holds up the wall for sport and boulder

Boxing is a big one. Lots of top pros have come through the Olympic ranks and fairly well supported from big and small countries.
Can’t help thinking weightlifting suffered from not having the big money countries winning medals, drugs an easy excuse to bin it, no big countries to lobby for it.
Skateboarding was fun, but not the biggest fan of judging sports. Did the top stars even turn up?

But even swimming has access issues and bikes can be expensive. Maybe just call it running.
