HRV and sleep tracking back toward healthy so I’m off out for a run with the club.
Cough mostly gone and not so chesty. He says, coughing and typing.
New training plan starts today, delayed 8 days.

Felt like hard work, Hr was high so I cut it a bit short, 5mins was walking.
Glad to have done it though.
Little visit to the in-laws gym today.
20 minute row, have to admit that’s the first time I’ve ever used one as an adult. No idea what I was doing but sat down and had a go.
Short 1km swim followed by 10 minutes in the sauna, left when my heart rate started to pick up
First day not running for 10 days or so, doms in my quads isn’t shifting - I’m clearly not accustom to the short hills round here.
Back home tomorrow and to the turbo I think
Blimey @FatPom, that’s a fantastic effort.
I did a 30 minute spin class this afternoon, just sweating out Christmas food.
thanks. I had the extra ‘ballast’ of a load of birthday pizza and cake from yesterday.
Top work boss man!!
Yeah. Looking forward to the report - that serious shit right after Christmas!
11km chasing my son on local trails
Bugger was ramping up the pace all the way around
Fastest 5 miles of 2022
3 Strava segment PR’s
Glad he’s going home tomorrow
It’s in the Ultra thread.
10.5km run this morning.
130m elevation. 47 minutes.
Struggling to breathe today. Been fighting this illness for a week or two now. Sinuses and blocked nose a couple of days ago. They seem better, but chest is tight today. Was going to have a Zwift as haven’t exercised since Sat. May have to just be an easy one.
Mine has been the opposite direction, felt on the chest to begin with but has moved into the sinuses\head today. I don’t feel really bad, just stuffed up and fuzzy head.
Cough has been fairly constant though, but struggled to get rid of it since I first got it about 5 weeks ago.
I’ve done a couple of easy Zwift’s but did have complete rest over the weekend. I did have about 10 hours sleep though
I’m surprised you can move at all after all that flat packing. It really buggers me up big time.
Yeah not too bad on that front actually. Hands were aching after the first day as i had to lug it all upstairs from the shed. We have very narrow, steep and twisting stairs. So the only way to carry the boxes is pure hand grip on the sides (long, thin, wide boxes) and brute strength them up the stairs vertically. It’s more hassle trying to do it with two and i’m incredibly impatient, so i just muscled them all up! Will definitely be failing my manual handling course!!!
There are some hefty panels on that set as well.
Hate to think what it must weigh in total, good couple of hundred kilos.
Yup. 210kgs it was!
The heaviest box was 39kgs. Typically the widest little bugger as well!
Sprint sections were pretty hard 20s @500W
Heart rate looked high, still cleaning out my lungs
Legs aching walking around the house from the run yesterday
My HR felt much more where it should be today, on Zwift. My resting HR and stress has been much lower today.
Was annoyed why my VO2 rating on Garmin has literally never changed. Realised I have never updated my weight in Garmin so it thinks Im enormous still.
30 mins yoga
1 hr gym session
Just about had it with Christmas drinking now - feeling bloated - couple of days off before New Years I think
