Training - What Training?!

Haha, I meant from here

10 miles outdoors today… beautiful spring morning out there… :man_shrugging:t2:

Don’t you hate that feeling that you kinda know that your throat is too sore to run in the morning but you get your kit ready anyway.

The smart thing to do would be to have a R&R day…hmmmm

Going to be icy roads here again today, so another Wattbike session.

55 minutes following the GCN threshold workout.

A “sort of” simulation of the Eastbourne tri ride in the they have similar elevation gains, on the Tour de Zwift Innsbruck Ride; 37.5km +645m…Avg Power 215W, 1h18. So not an all out effort, and legs a bit cooked from yesterday’s 3h run.

That’s a great effort after yesterday mate. :+1:

Cold here as well and I’m a total wimp. Easy on the Wattbike and I’m still freezing with a top and jacket on.

Maybe I should do more than about 160w

Probably do 2*20 later on.

Out just before 8 this morning for 2h. Had to stay on main roads mind, but they were quiet at that time. Only saw 2 others cycling towards the end of my ride.

@JibberJim will be glad to hear I wore full winter tights this time, but only a s/s base layer, arm warmers & an Alpha Light jacket  I was still sweating under that!

Another 12 hour week with 2 swims, 3 rides and 3 runs, plus a couple of hours commuting. Got out late this morning with a mate and we managed to tip-toe around a few bits of ice. Heard of quite a few friends going down so glad to stay upright. It was nice to ride in the proper cold for a change and no rain.

Couldn’t see the end of our front garden this morning, cleared up a bit by the end of my jog, but the fog is now back with a vengeance.

All of our club rides were cancelled

Pretty pleased with that as an almost complete week - will look to add in more turbo work on weekdays. Horrendous stormy weather meant we sacked off the club track session and Thursday wasn’t much nicer outside. Freezing this weekend but glad I rode yesterday - lots of ice about this morning but lovely clear sunny skies. Wouldn’t mind that for the rest of the winter! Needed three layers, chunky overshoes and thick knitted gloves on the ride but was still freezing! Waited until 12 to go out too in the hope it’d be a bit warmer (less cold).

Totally jokes for me

LTS PBs
5km 17m07s
10km 35m01s
HM 1h20m41s
Mara 3h08m (as part of a 40 miler using Garmin splits, or 3h22m at Outlaw 2019, or 3h28m as my only standalone)

Three 6 miles easy runs midweek then a steady 21 miler today.
39 miles of running for the week.
The fog was bad today and didn’t lift at all.

Visibility went from 20m at 0730 to 200m at 1100 :rofl::rofl::rofl:
Coming off the M6 and onto the A556 was weird, so much thicker on the A556

I’d say yours were one of the better sets, not complete totes jokes! 5k and 10k pretty close. 1/2M was that pb set last year off very little training? And if you can do 3:08 as part of a 40 miler then that seems fairly achievable too? Depends if Garmin thinks that’s what you’re capable of today.

Yeah I was further up the A556 running along the River Weaver and then on the Whitegate Way and it was probably about 100m visabilty and it was cold fog
