Fucking epic. Good effort.
@Mungo2, helluva effort.
Double points for flashing the pecs.
Anyway…
5k row.
2 sets each of donkey kicks, weighted bridges, sumo squats, calf raises and side planks.
I’ve been lucky to manage an unusually consistent start to the year. The plan was to have a recovery week this week with a hit out at a Parkrun tomorrow.
I’m 53¾ & definitely should know better but I’ve probably self-sabotaged myself again
.
Dear fucking god, insanity. Did you break or stop to eat/drink much during that?
How did you manage to time travel during the sit ups?!!
Changed the order twice … mostly due to how my legs felt
But all 2000 reps were completed.
It was was tough, strangely my legs are fine this morning but my tummy is sore.
I won’t be doing that again.
3 scoops of tailwind.
Sit ups …!
You make it look and sound so super appealing @Mungo2 ! ![]()
Must say your posts stand out in the “sod that for a game of soldiers”. Obviously everyone on here has very different training regimes and strengths. So; who would you least like to train with…
(f**k sake did this once and it lost the poll)
- Mungos - cross fit hell
- FatPoms - never ending runs
- Spooners - ride with the pros
- Gingerbongos - steady tempo night trail run at sub 4 min kms
- Adam no1 - its bedtime
- APM - WHY does the gym open before 5am
- ChrisSwim - 100x100s off something ridiculous
- Poet - ride in the wet with a miserable Northerner

Im sure there’s plenty of others I cant even comprehend that should be added to this!
Maybe also needs a reverse of which would you MOST like to do!
I find them all highly inspiring in their own right… oh except for that wet Northerner ![]()
Do you count as Cirencester Sowler or Rio Sowler? Cos they’re two very different votes!
![]()
Z - none of the above ![]()
There are a few I wouldn’t mind doing if I was physically able!
Then there’s @Mungo2
Running threshold while GB is casually talking about yoghurt or how hard it is to find really big gloves
![]()
I already ride in the rain with northerners, none wearing MAAP or Rapha though.
@Mungo2 regime is the most brutal. My late night efforts pale in comparison - the man puts himself through hell and back.
Big respect for it but fuck me it looks hard!

LOVE that poll.
Civilised for me today.
30 minute spin class at lunch.
Will swim c.1.5k tonight.
In the poll are we voting for the company or the training?
And can we have the Monty Brewster option please?
Combination surely.
Like one would assume a beasting session with the Peacock would actually be quite pleasant. Cos he’s a charmer.
But having to put up with my inane, and never ending chatter is gonna be very off-putting!
Thanks for the compliments and insults fellas!
To finish off this crazy story …. I almost certainly did it with covid!
Started feeling really rough afterwards, just thought it was the effort?!
My mate delivered some tests on the way home from work and I’m positive.
Strangely I told all you before anyone else but big Doris !
We will have to hold off on the CrossFit madness till I’m better, have a great weekend especially anyone getting there hyrox on. !
Stick at it.
that’s a great poll ![]()
I’d happily train with any of the above ![]()
however…
not at 5am.
For that reason alone, I’m afraid my vote goes to the early morning machine that is @APM
also, in that photo @Mungo2 looks how I normally feel at about 8.30pm on a Thursday night. Not any more though #escaping
Arh, hope you feel better soon @Mungo2.
And thanks @fruit_thief. Just imagine how much milk you’d get through if your alarm was set for a similar time.
