Training - What Training?!

Like any good politician I voted for my self.

However that’s not strictly true, I could do weights at daft I clock, but not much else, those 5k rows are a huge no.

Swimming with Dr Chris would be a non starter due to speeds, probably true for most of us.

Poets rides outside are tough, gravel… not fir me I would 100 % come off/ puncture/ throw a strop.

Running at night with GB… again non starter, too fast and dangerous.

Being honest I’d probably fancy a long long run with FP … one day !

The poll made me laugh.

Had another day off yesterday.
First day of actual work for two months made me super tired :face_exhaling::face_with_peeking_eye::yawning_face:
Just woke up, too :exploding_head:
No way I’m making parkrun :sob:

EDIT: I’m making parkrun :tada::man_running:t4:

I’ve managed to keep a 3/3 streak of using the 7-8 gap between waking up and the kids waking up. 2 x runs and 1 x yoga.

Feeling good for it.

Yesterday was some 100kg deadlifts plus some other bits, see below

Followed by 10km on the bike Erg and and 8km run at 5mins.

This morning was the below Barbell METCON @joex . 37.5kg clean and 17.5kg for the devil presses for me. Not much compared to the crazy shit @Mungo2 is doing.

And 25km on the bike erg. Bike erg cos I don’t have a turbo and it’s cold outside!

That’s tough!

Deadlifting a ton is going to tire you out quickly.

8 kms running you planning on doing a hyrox?

It was only 8km as that was what I feeling up to. I do wanna do some Hyrox but want do it in a pair as more fun! And waiting for them to release some more events specifically, Birmingham or something as the London ones are full for pairs.

I really fancy the individual event.

I think my back is ok for the burpee jumps now it certainly was for the hundreds of tuck jumps I did this month.

I’ve watched a girl training for it this month, the prowler track is right in front of the static bikes.
I think she’s doing Manchester ? Glasgow is soon too.

Similar to the numbers circuit the prisoners did I’m going to do “ a homemade” at the end of feb, if nothing else it should help my running.

Took Mrs T out for her weekly long run in training for Manchester Marathon and Race to the Stones

Close to 2 hrs - made her work hard on the hills :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Going to watch our nephews partner compete in her first hyrox later today - looking forward to seeing how she does and what the event is like

Please report back with your thoughts.

Looks mental

Felt rough af last night after my turbo session.

Spent the night shivering and pounding headache.

Tried to do a quick interval session today on Zwift, but the latest update has fooked ERG

One rep done and then the power wouldn’t go up on the next one.

Took it as a sign to sack it ofg

Up nice and early for a 100km ride … can’t be arsed at all :sob:

Cold air, rising wind, greasy roads … none of which appear in Watopia :face_with_peeking_eye::laughing:

Also can’t be bothered getting back, cleaning my bike, showering and not being ready for lunch until 2pm :-1:t2:

When do lighter mornings arrive?
