13.43 kms in 1:08 ish, nice and steady for a first real run, hilly, windy and bright sunshine pushed the hr to 148 av. Enjoyed it.
Straight into a 1200 m swim drills mostly.
Stretch in hot bubbles and think about tomorrow.
Another double training day, although short sessions.
First thing, 30 minutes in the gym.
2 x 1k on the rowing machine.
2 sets each of calf raises, hammer curls, side plank and side crunches.
At lunch, 5k on the treadmill. 1.5% incline. Flat out.
Did one of the Norseman workouts on Zwift that i think @gingerbongo has done in the past.
Pretty decent session actually, intervals varying from tempo to above ftp.
Got my trainers on and got out the door for just over 30 minutes, so a half decent day
Is it an on/off type workout? quite intrigued

It’s 9 Box Grid season = very little will get done training wise.
Nice slow recovery mile swim breathing every 5 strokes and watching all the young bucks fly

I’m in the last two months of it now, as I had aimed for Cotswold 113 beginning of June.
Also using Garmin Coach MacMillan Half Marathon plan with a 1:46 target for run workouts, although now I’m tempering the hard speed sessions to easy runs or tempo at most.
Both plans altered by run club on Tuesday nights, swim club on Thurs and/or Sunday and when I can commute ride to work.

Currently living my best life at home with the newborn at the moment. Ticked off my second swim of the week in a lovely empty pool. Back at home now feeding some expressed milk to the daughter and will enjoy the sleepy cuddle after. Will sort lunch soon then hit the turbo before heading out for the school run. Could get used to this

I’ve just smashed 125mls of freshly expressed milk down here so she’s currently looking pretty comatose. Waiting for the inevitable bollocking now from the Mrs when she comes upstairs to see all that milk gone in one sitting. She was quite proud that she was able to produce that amount
Well that didn’t go according to plan! headed out for an easy 10/11km but just before 7km came up my left calf started to tighten again. On shorter runs, I’ve pushed through before and paid for it, so this time I walked 2km to a coffee shop and Mrs FP picked me up.
I have a 50km in 10 days and Classic Qtr in 4.5wks, so not taking chances.
