Hells bells Joe, things could’ve been a whole load worse.
Be kind to yourself for a few days & keep an eye out for delayed concussion.

@joex - glad to hear that you are shaken but not stirred - could have been a lot worse
Had cleaned my bike up to start doing some commuting but these sorts of tales do make me think twice
Heal strong @joex - good to see you took his reg plate (literally)
3hr wet wet gravel ride for me.

I’m tired, okay!
Got to 20mins of home and wanted to be home, as ankle started to grumble.
Joex that sounds horrific, got shivers down my spine reading your text. So so glad you seem to be okay. Take it easy and look after yourself.
Very sorry to read about this @joex , heal well and come back stronger.

10 mile run
Followed the cycle course into town, catching the women’s race at various locations - a good way of taking it in I suppose
Caught them at the university, Gibson street, the climb up great George st, Charing X, the art school, bath street, the park and the university and Gibson st again lol
Atmosphere’s really great again. Last day
Sounds horrible but glad you seen reasonably unscathed. Also sounds like you have some witnesses. Hope the claim goes smoothly.

Yowzer!
Glad ok
Yikes, glad to hear you don’t sound too beat up given the circumstances.

Swift recovery @joex
Your coming together reminded me that my neighbour had his stationary work van written off as a gentleman far more “mature and wise” than I crashed into the back of it in a 30mph zone and it was so bad his car was embedded.
Neighbour rushed out to see what had happened, saw the car door open, rushed up to have a word and saw a walking stick come out first followed by a very senor gent… scarey
Hate to have my prejudices confirmed but Ive often posted about having driving licenses restricted between the ages of 30 and 50…
Well off topic, but as I don’t have a car, not in shape for running and no bikes allowed on buses means getting the bike to the bike shop is a tricky proposition. Hmm…
Put my correct weight into Zwift.
(fat) Christ On a bike I’m slow
Although at least I’m on at lunch instead of working through
Muscles all good clearly:
Sim’d 45mins on the Nice course at 190W and only got 17km in. That would depress me at the WC.
Edit
Lots of sucking of teeth at the bike shop. Felt like he didn’t want to assess it after he saw the bike. Too old. Not folded in half. Not sure what reaction he wanted me to have - then he started talking about going into a legal battle and how he is regularly checked out by insurers to make sure he’s legit.
Fucksake. Why offer an insurance assessment service?
5km. Treadmill. Uphill. Full gas.

Don’t worry, someone is getting his slippers and a cup of bovril.
Tt1.0 had a mahoosive “thang” about setting a treadmill at 1%
