Forgotten what a hard slog training was.

In other news the £2 a pair DHB thermolite socks are spot on.

Nope, I did an extra 10km of running everyday to cover the pool time I skived

Timmy was an awesome duathlete, too.
Raced him (in the loosest possible sense!) a few times

A lot of technique and drills during the week so hoping for improvements over the year

1 hr 15 on the treadmill.

4,3,2,1 session getting faster - turned it into a 4,3,2,1,1 session speed increasing from 12kmh - ended with a further minute at 3;30m/km pace - fastest I have ever run on a treadmill - not fast by forum standards but gotta say I am pretty darn pleased with that

First exercise this week due to 15hr days at work

Gym first thing. Absolutely horrible day.

The usual hours total
Good
A faster longish swim back to full distance pace
Holding 4:30 kms in a hyrox sim ( my only running last week!)
A good boxing session

Bad ( or rather disappointing )
Held off for a few days before Sunday to rest the legs, ate well and no nasty cider
Plan was two hour static bike balls out!
After 12-15 mins it was obvious that it wasn’t going to be my day so plan B resulted in two hours at a much lower effort
Oh well !

Blimey @Mungo2, that looks awful.

I did a 45 minute spin class and had had enough by the end.

I actually like hard static bikes, just you against you and no (unt is going to run you over.
That one was done at a much lower effort ( boring to be honest )

Strange how todays efforts have been quite good despite three big ciders last night ?!?

As I said sometimes it’s just not there

Crushed it tonight!

1K on the Wattbike at the gym, gave the pool a jolly hard stare as I walked past it for a 5 minute sauna, then ate crisps.

The gym is rammed on a Monday, even around 6:30, people burning off the indulgences of the weekend.

This season is totally getting crushed

Tomorrows another day
You have already produced a very good run.

Stick at it jazzy Jeff.

19km trail run with mates tonight, up along the coast path and back down the new tidal flood plain. Which was doing it’s job on a big spring tide! :joy:. Was about 1.5kms of +knee deep water. Great fun! :joy: :joy:

I’m normally all over the adventures that you & your gang get up to, but this one gets a firm negatory from me.

We’re already planning around the next few spring tides. Maybe some sort of time trial on the flooded section followed by a couple of beers at the new cricket club afterwards. Perfect! :ok_hand:
