Swearing. Yes.
Walking. No.
I did the “easy” way round the village.
Still a bugger with the sun glaring down on me.

Finished the week with just under 4 1/2 hours

My old training bike / my old legs, must be so slow compared to @Poet as I can’t remember a long ride where I’ve averaged 19mph

Anyhoo, 21hrs 48mins this week (would have been closer to 23 had I not had a 3 1/2hr hike with the students on Monday that drained me physically, mentally and emotionally

So over the last 4 weeks

19hrs 14mins (half term)
18hrs 34mins
16hrs 45mins
21hrs 48mins

All mostly zone 2 stuff.
More biking than anything as my foot is still healing.

This week will be less time/volume as I did struggle this week

8 weeks until Frankfurt

Frankfurt seems pretty late this year? I’m guessing because of Hamburg?

15.5km run with Mrs T on her bike (recovering from a busted rib caused by 100 day cough (possibly not helped by a bit of osteoporosis)), Miss T on a bike and Oska.

Going really well until 1km from home. Mrs T pauses and then proceeds to do what pretty much all of us have done at some time or another and fails to get her foot out of the pedal before keeling over - broken wrist and fingers crossed they can manage an operation to plate it before we go on hols next Saturday.

So far 2024 has been pretty effing shit

There were four of us, if that helps :woman_shrugging:t4:
Road bike with Zipp 404, latex tubes, conti 5000GPS.

Three of them stopped ~8km from home for drinks, but I carried on and got the speed up to 30.6kmh from 30.5kmh :face_with_peeking_eye::grimacing:

We were 32.3kmh until the hills :sob:
The other group of four sacked off the hills and skirted round instead … they ended up with 33.3kmh average for 155km

I’ve managed 33.3kmh for 100km on my Todd before on the road bike, but can’t do much better than that.

There was four of us on my ride too… it didn’t help me one bit :joy:
Its amazing how just knocking off the effort just a bit makes it so easy and boring. I can’t do social rides! First stop at 40 miles… I’d barely for through half a bottle and I’d only started on the snacks to pass the time.

45 minute spin class.

Hot. Sweaty. Tired.

I think if you add “deceased” to that, it will describe my 6 mile run home

30 min on zwift. Also hot, sweaty and tired. I did not have an ounce of energy in me.

Think I need another decent sleep.
