I think my problem is these aren’t new/short term issues.
My Achilles has been over 10 years of on/off having seen numerous specialists and spent thousands along the way.
The hip issue is 4 years now and really debilitates any form when it flares up.
I’ve had to build up from scratch over and over.
I have no goals. I barely raced even when not injured. I just enjoy running… But only when I feel I’m running.
I’ve already got slow, I don’t enjoy trying to go even slower.
In the past I’ve built up so slowly. And a few months later I’ll just start to get to a distance that feels like a workout, be doing nothing different and then something will flare up again.
I’m so so bored of it. All the enjoyment has just been sucked out of me.
I got out for an early runch before my 1300 meeting. A nice 16km and 376m elevation with a couple of mates up on the common. Nice and steady, but was really warm and humid under the trees. Nice breeze up on the top of the common on the exposed sections though.
Even managed a good 35 mins targeted S&C this morning at 0630 as well. Feeling good today!
