Training - What Training?!

After a quite worrying start ( heart issue) managed 11 hours last week.
The usual stuff and no repeat of my hr being stuck but still keeping an eye on it.

Highlight was 3 watts per kg for an hour straight into 20 mins at 4:18 kms and the hr was under 160 ( just )

Stick at it !

Back still not 100%
Takes a while to get moving when I’ve been stationary.

Got to the pool today to find the heating broken and a nice cold pool.

Sadly not the energy for too much, but it’s not gonna be fixed for a few days, so can get some nice pool swimming done.

15 x 100m off 2:00
6 x 50m off 1:30
4 x 25m

Home and then out on a gloomy, muggy, windy ride.
Another sodding puncture 45 mins in but had a spare tub with me. The Vittora’s are garbage.

Nice 3 very sweaty hours to start the final two week block

Swim in the morning

10 x 100m / 10 x 100m Pull & paddles / 4 x 50m P&P

Very sweaty ride around lunch. First couple of hours started okay, but around 90 minutes in, the sweat was pouring out of me, so needed a good rehydrate. Last 90 minutes were grim.

Friday looks cooler, so hoping I can get out without looking like I’ve jumped in a pool after an hour.

6km easy run with LO. I miss our Daddy/Daughter midweek runs, we don’t do them in term time because athletics is on.

I’ve had a right Carlsberg of training days.

First day of the summer holidays, the wife has taken the kids to her parents for a couple of days and the suns been shining (some intermittent rain)

Cracking lie-in and pottered around the house. Finally pulled my finger out and got out for a gentle 100km ride with a lunch stop. Sunning myself in the garden once home, then a quick snack before heading out for the club track session. First time I’ve run on a track since I was year ten at school, so around 24 years. Nice session of decreasing time intervals starting with six, down to one.

I’ve even bought myself a pizza and garlic bread while I watching some crap on tv with a couple of 0%s to wash it down with.

They’re not back until lunchtime tomorrow so I’ll get out for another ride, forecast is looking a bit dodge though

(Let’s just forget I’m doing Outlaw at the weekend)

Sounds dreamy mate. And very unlike my first day of the school hols! :joy: :joy:

I’m the total opposite. Just cba. After a few weeks of great motivation, that illness hit me and now I’m low on mojo.

Was drizzling all evening so I chose to sit with my headphones on and listen to some music whilst obsessing over the TCR maps instead.

I do have a longer run planned for Sunday though, so hoping that’ll sort my week out and kick start things.

I can definitely relate to that

Dropped daughter off at work for her 7-7 shift at the hospital this morning. Was at work myself before 7am.

When her shift finished I ran from my office to her hospital - hard 6 min intervals. 6km done. We then both ran the final 6.5 km home. Really enjoyed it and she got a PR for 5km since starting training for London mara - she was made up.

20 mins of yoga together when we got home.

Loved it

Nice one :+1:t2:

You might be pleased to hear that your influence runs far and wide. Ages ago I said to Mrs FP. ‘You know my mate Phillip, the one that actually knows what he’s doing, well he does yoga with Adrienne online’. etc etc, no response apart from to bang on about maths or St Swithuns or somesuch.

Anyway, this morning, the first day of school hols I get a txt from Mrs FP. ‘What was the name of that yoga channel that your mate does?’

I told her and they both did a session today and thoroughly enjoyed it

Urgh!

I’m with @gingerbongo here … long day at work yesterday. Then was 8pm by the time chores finished, so just watched TV and didnt run.

Lie in until 6am today, far too tired to do anything.
