There was a cycling event on so route was peppered with lots of mamils today
Week 4 of getting off the couch, managed 8 hours again this week. Backed off and only did 20km of running, longest 6km. Still taking it pretty cautiously. Did manage a faster treadmill 5km again, hip objected a little after that but not as badly as last week.
It feels a couple of degrees cooler now which makes the whole shebang a lot more civilised. Riding to work this morning was only 32°C.

1000m swim - average pace 1:44/100m but was mainly a length or two at a time, pool too busy.

1000m faster than you did for hard 100s with rest? Am I reading that right? Makes today look very impressive!

It wasn’t a straight 1000m, it was split into lots of x1, x2, x3 lenghts as the pool was busy, i.e lots of rest.
I wish I could do a straight 1000m under 1:50/100m

But my club’s pool reopens in a few weeks, after being closed since March for repairs.
Bike –503km
Didn’t feel like I had done much, but this just scraped in as my 10th biggest month since 2015.
Run - 73km
Also sneaked into my Top 10 months since 2015, but my bar for running is set very low.
Time – 25h 32m
Only had 5 days with no training and 7 double days, but nothing longer than 1h 15m.
Injury Report
Somewhere along the line I did ‘something’ to my right shoulder (not when training) and after a week of applying my Chinese ‘deep heat’ liquid every night it is finally improving. So, I will now start the rehabilitation exercises I was previously given for my left shoulder on my right!
Overall
Another disappointing month, where I’ve struggled to find the time and energy to train more often and for longer sessions. But I still take comfort from getting anything done at all, no matter how small. I also having at least something to build on going forward.
