Training - What Training?!

That’s a disappointing clarification!

Necessary though I thought, to quell the usual double entendre suspects.

This guy in the Dorset Doddlers is in fact an actual dairy farmer

He still meant his leg though, I asked him

9km evening run with club (well, just me and one other stupid enough to be out!).
Easy pace but leg seems to have held up. :crossed_fingers:t2:

Dom has definitely outstayed his welcome now - like an annoying guest at the end of the night - fuck off Dom… no, I’m just opening another bottle

First 7 hour week of the year.
Then a week off with flu.
Then a nice gentle introduction back to exercise yesterday… With an hour of squash :skull:

First time in 6 years. Good fun, but first time I’ve been the only slowing the game down between points. And looks like Dom left Toby and came to visit me today.

Ha, you can join squashtalk with fruity :joy: and talk DOMS

Went along to a local club’s run session last night. On Tuesday nights they have 3 groups & I optimistically plumped for the faster one which was doing 8*800.

There were 15/20 runners & I found them more welcoming than the industrial estate group I ran with this time last year, possibly helped by the fact I knew one or two of them. Unfortunately it’s difficult - with my goldfish memory - to remember names particularly after meeting in the dark  .

Session itself went as well as could be expected. I was quite tired going into it & it’s been about a year since I ran hard in a group…excuses, excuses  From the 4th effort I knew I was in trouble & decided I would call it a night at 6 but after a long recovery & berating myself for being a wuss I joined in on the last one.

Unexpected bonus of the evening was finding out that the membership is £3 p/a.

3 mile laps last night in my overground bunker lol

And 4 miles this am

Quad seems fine. Calves strong from gym so that’s good… very much still jogging - little and often philosophy I think.

How amusingly unexpected:

And, I think of Wednesday as “my swim day”.

8 mile run this evening

All very encouraging, granted less a run & more a jog.

Certainly no aerobic issues. Felt like I could chug along forever at this pace. Waiting for legs to wake up. I’m not exactly bouncing along

*** and a couple of hrs dancing in the sub club last night off ma box after a few beers with gallery artists  ***

And a sausage supper

… 8.5 - just measured on how far …
