Work took over a bit today and I have an ache in the back of left quad. So one more rest day after last Sunday didn’t hurt.

Weird swim for me at 6am today. The maintenance guy was hoovering the bottom of the pool with the long snaky thing, so I couldn’t do lengths, but he was happy to let me do widths at the other end to where he was working

Did 100 widths, some at the shallow end & some at the deep end. No idea how far that is, maybe 1000m or 1200m :man_shrugging:but I got well dizzy from all the tumble turns & still feel a little travel sick

Might go back after work and swim 100 in the other direction to see if that unwinds things…

As soon as I read you were doing widths, I was thinking how seasick and dizzy I would feel doing that :face_with_spiral_eyes: Hate that feeling!

When you swim as fast as you do that would be crazy ?!?

went back for a second swim after work. Set the bleeper rather optimistically to bleep every 21 seconds (1m24/100m) with the intention of doing 10 x 100m off 6 bleeps.

No. Was hanging by number 5

Dead and buried after 8 … swam down

Trained twice today, which means I’ve worked out everyday in January.

Lunch 5k on the treadmill. 0.5k easy / 0.5k hard x 5.

This evening, 4 x 400m in the pool.

Lane full of triathletes. God, we/they are annoying.

Went for a 5km walk in the morning and climbing in the afternoon. So nice to get back to some sport, missed my climbing…took it easy though, wasn’t sure how my jaw with the fresh tooth implant would feel if I took a fall. More climbing later

Well done Anna. I was planning a longish one today but my quad just isn’t right, so I’m backing off from that.

Highlights were completing one of mungo mongos 10 tasks for 2025.

A 5460 m swim in a tiny pool with a pull buoy
1:49:37 lol, my longest ever constant swim.
Doms we’re pretty bad but quite enjoyed it to be honest

The other hour bike( fake watts ) into half marathon were I managed to eventually find some run speed … ish and get nearer a half decent time.

The rest was the usual crap including 3 x short boxing sessions.

30km run with Mrs T and Oska

Cold but dry

Tried a new route which was good until it wasn’t and became very boggy slowing us down a lot and getting very wet feet/ankles

Oska now asleep under a blanket on the couch where I predict he will remain until his dinner time.

Training Peaks fitness figure now higher than at any point in the last 365 days (excluding when I have just done a silly long run). Really enjoying the results of some good consistent training blocks

Mrs T also doing really well

Roll on next week

No Gin Pit not until April

Just (rather sadly) enjoying the process of another week under the belt

Ah gotcha. I’m doing some little and often this week (bat Tues when I’m in Newport) and get to a 30km session on the weekend. Need to build from there but taking it cautiously.
