30 minute spin class. That’s ya lot.
Good work @stenard, I think! Why the running lull? Work? Family? Injury? All the above?

10:32 this week all bike.
Had to cut short the last two bike sessions due to foot injury. Should have been a 12 hr week plus a bit of running.
October: second best month hours wise, even with 9 days with a screwed foot after the fall.
Oh 52 hrs
Yep, pretty much!
A weekly personal pilates session seems to be solving the achilles problem. It’s mid covid since I could last go out and “just run”, without any nervousness about how it would react.
It’s liberating
11 hours last week
Now I’m back in my old gym in Lancs ficus us strength gain g weight and helping my mate get ready for hyrox Madrid .. it’s not really working
See what this week brings
I hear you!
Feels like a military operation these days to prepare for a run. Starting the day before with stretching and massage gun through to post run, imagining every calf twinge is going to be the end of me.
Double post from me. Just sodding love training don’t I?
Anyway, very relaxed 35 minute plod on the treadmill at lunch.
No calf issues.
Finally feeling over the colds, trying to find motivation to train indoors.

Today: Trail Bike with toddler in child seat: 28.43km, 588m elev. 2hrs, 14.2km/h. Av HR 121, Max 159. Av 154W, NP 222W. TSS 97. Bit of a struggle to begin with, 150m elev gain in the first mile, then 2km later another 75m in 600m. Running 34/34 as lowest gear, but not able to get out of saddle doesn’t help. He slept most of the way round, after getting travel sick on the way there in the car.
Being weak like kitten I’ve decided to do 100 press- ups per day in November. Not all at once (can’t) although have managed up to 50 at once.
Maybe doesn’t sound like much, but this is from a standing start of 0.
After 3 days some muscle in my chest, both sides , ought to know what but am hazy - quite possibly serratus anterior - anyway it hurts like b … well it hurts.
Probably the weakasfuckus posterior maximus. Try harder ![]()
When I’ve done stuff like this from a standing start my advice would be to vary the type of pressup - arm position etc to work slightly different muscles each time.
After a week or two it was my elbows that used to get sore. Felt how I imagine tennis elbow would feel. Went away once I stopped though!
Didn’t train yesterday or day before
I think they’re a lot easier when you’re standing. ![]()
Standing on my hands that is.
I guess if you’ve got massive hands the handstand push up is much easier than normal folk…
Exercised every day since 23rd October now. Either a bike. Or a jog.
Nothing over having fun and enjoying life.
The MTB is superb for a quick hour local blast, as there’s a really nice 5 minute downhill bit. Also been enjoying commuting into Manchester. Not much traffic on Fridays and Mondays. Headwind home yesterday was horrible. Felt every pedal stroke.
Managed a few jogs under five mins per km, too. Which is always nice.
Just got a new camping tarp and some Ti pegs. And with the weather being mild, debating a winter camp. But probably won’t. As it’s dark. And I don’t like the dark. There’s monsters.
Trained twice today.
30 minutes fairly easy spin class this morning.
20 minute tempo run at lunch.
Biked.
Walked just over 1400m lunch time.
Hoping to be able to jog walk in a few days.
5.5k as 5 mins walk then 3:1min run-walk.
9.5km run - HR still higher than usual
I love running around Bonfire Night - fireworks and the smell of gunpowder
Bit of rain but got wetter with the waterproof on due to the warmth
