Training - What Training?!

Forgot to post last week, hadn’t been running due to a knee issue, but this week have tried to get back into it, so far, so good. Trying an excel table to keep things neater, but my IT skills are negligible, so formatting might be off.

6 hours !!!

The shame !

One boxing session which was my only cardio

The rest all strength stuff contacted a “ bodybuilding coach last week who basically told me to go on trt..? Not doing that .. the rest of the stuff he said was really helpful to be honest.

Hence the weight thread.

4*4mins at tempo into 8*uphill bridge efforts that were about 45secs each.

Had planned to do it a few times last week but due to fatigue/CBA/bit of black dog never had the cojones.

Love the graphics of a successfully completed session .

Running, jogging, moving. Enjoying my slappy feet and jacket rustle sound. See car. Think car sees me. Keep slappy rustle running. Car no see. Me run into side of car. Driver on phone. Two kids in car look shocked. Driver shouty shout. Me jog move away fast. The end.

Finally started feeling better yesterday, noticeable by the return of my Tourette’s :face_with_symbols_on_mouth::joy:

Risked a few easy weights and 15 minutes of cardio tonight, very easy so I don’t aggravate the groin.

Might keep insanity at bay for another day!

After a bit of a slide when we returned to UK, may have finally found a bit of a groove & getting some running done again.

Doony’s aerobic 10km challenge has hit the spot for some reason, have bashed out 90km so far this month that way, plus a few other runs.

No swimming or biking though… one thing at a time.

But if Strava is to be believed then fitness is back somewhere near baseline at least :crossed_fingers:t2:

That’s good to see mate. :+1:You’ll be firing come next spring with all that aerobic base.

… However, hold my beer! :sob: :sob:

Looks like you had bit of a comeback in the Spring though?

Hope your back sorts itself out and you can get back to the good stuff like running up the cliff paths at night, or home from Taunton (still can’t get my head around that, but can now at least see why someone might want to)

I think Strava AI has written my obituary :frowning:

You’ve been a bit quiet on Strava Jeff? Are you injured again. I forget who’s calfs backs and hamstrings are playing up, it’s always at least one of us

The pool beckons?

Yeah, had this cold virus thing for a week or so. But as per the injuries thread, I’m the one with the groin problem from doing weights in the gym. Physio said to give it a fortnight from last Thursday with no running\cycling, and even swimming aggravates it due to my poor rotation.

So on top of not doing much recently I’m going to take it very easy until I go and see him next week. Priority is later next year so as long as I can get back soon and just steady exercise that’ll keep me happy until it warms up.

It is settling down and I’ve been doing a few exercises in that area, but as above didn’t feel like doing anything for about 9 days with feeling naff.

You recovered your slide a lot quicker than I did on moving back to the UK

September blip with illness, but otherwise making some decent progress since start of July.

You had considerably further to slide!

I faced -2 for 32 minutes and saw snow on the Peaks.
