Training - What Training?!

Still loves Pioneer-3 I see (thats a TR in joke)

Whats the 0.3% fail? Thinking sod this I’ll have that last piece you yule log.

Be interesting to see how it goes, I can’t see it liking the training load of a triathlete. Non cycling activities seem to heavy weighted against.
Last time I tried it it down graded nearly all ‘workouts’ to Z2 because of run, strength and swim sessions. Obviously ignored the RLGL, and did VO2, threshold etc with no problems. Do you still get the option to over-rule adaptions in the new system?

No adaptation prompts so far. In fact nothing to write home about yet. Others have had significant ftp changes.

Fatigue detection reacts to my runs if I’ve not been consistent, which is fair and it has learned that a hard ish club run doesn’t affect my TR workouts.

Run kit is still wet this morning :sob:

Woke up at 4-ish to the sound of rain/hail battering the windows & gutters. Got up for a wee & wee look outside. Decided there & then to turn off alarm & sack off the 06:15 swim.

Not the most disciplined start to ‘26 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ve got back into bed and might stay here all day

The GF is working in the other room. The heating is also on!

Honestly, I’m with you. Took everything I had to roll onto the indoor bike. Zero chance of leaving the house this morning.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as ecstatic about a 26 min 5km as I am right now!

Never will I take running and exercising for granted again! So, so, so happy lacing up my shoes and heading out the door.

Fingers crossed that the back and all it’s bits stay where they’re supposed to be overnight now! No soreness when running despite the cold. Nothing immediate hitting me as my body starts to cool down beyond a bit of stiffness in the back.

I really really hope this is the light at the end of the tunnel. Lots of work and rehab to go. But I’ve got a smile on my face!

I know exactly what you mean & do genuinely feel grateful each time I go for a run these days, after initially thinking it might have been game over about 18 months ago with that hip injury. Every run’s a bonus now!

I managed a 12k trail loop on one of my regular routes, longest I’ve ran since the aborted race in Italy. Generally alright as well, couple of little aches and was careful to keep the pace very easy and walk some of the steeper bits.

Does feel good to get back going again. Just need to avoid being an idiot as usual, especially as I’ll be back at work next week and sat on my backside again!

That’s something like 44k in the last 6 days, most of which was off-road.
