You are not wrong.

3h15 yesterday for myself.

:man_biking: 2.5 hours on the bike, freezing, fan on with a towel on the an indoor drier blocking it, 20 minutes in sweating and freezing, move the towel drier arrangement (while riding) for a bit of breeze, nah too cold, move it back, too hot, too cold, this was repeated for over two hours.
:man_running: 45 min easy run in the ice was okay.

The mental toll was much more than the physically.

Today
:man_biking: 30 minutes recovery full outdoor kit on, inc overshoes was okay as only 30 minutes :grinning_face:

Not sure I’ve got the mental strength to face the cold again today (and not looking forward to the next two days)

-5 this morning, got the run kit out but not running. Thinking about the treadmill later. Maybe after a bike.

3 weeks of no speed work, plus lingering flu meant my treadmill session wasn’t great.

Could only manage 2 minutes at the speed I was doing 5 minutes at 4 weeks ago.

10 x 2 mins just faster than 5km pace / 1 min recovery

Run #3 completed. Holding my protocol of leaving 2 full days in between each run.

5.4km @ 5.14/km, 5.8km @ 5:01/km and 6.4km @ 4.58/km.

Nice, subtle progression there. Running all off the same RPE, with the watch hidden under my jacket sleeve.

All those odd, little muscles like in my feet, anterior tibialis etc are complaining as I run as they’ve been sat there doing nothing since October!

Steady as she goes.
