40k gravel-ish ride. 135k for the week. Will try to do another short one, tomorrow.

19.5km steady trail run. 139bpm average, 6.02min/km. 485m elevation gain. On crunchy snow/ice. Wasn’t that much slower than usual, about 35s/km off my fastest in September in the dry, but 5-10s/km compared to in the wet over December.

12km run yesterday morning in slushy snow felt harder work, especially going uphill.

Actually less snow further inland but it was sketchy and hard underfoot so harder work than usual.

Glorious day though.

Running on the snow sections was kind on the joints but zapped the legs.

Easy enough, except muscular fatigue was very noticeable in the last 2-3km

Anything else my back would allow, it’s easing now but still have to be careful I guess. Drinking .( not) does seem to be helping now.

About 8 hours for me this week with a couple of gym sessions. Half was on Zwift, but only 2 runs adding up to 20k, but 13k was on trail.

Did a couple of cardio sessions in the gym to try and give the leg a bit of a rest. Still quite tired though, not getting 9 hours of sleep now :frowning:

Weather is set to improve but probably not enough to get out on the bike next weekend!
