I got out for ANOTHER run. (almost) 10km. 2nd one this week. Straws aligned to give me a gap so I took it!

90km / 3.5hr ride in the Surrey Hills. Two long coffee stops. This ride was #notpoetapproved. As my ride buddy remarked, it was a coffee outing interrupted by some cycling.

Went for a run, turns out I was hungover. I thought I’d got away with it.

Ended up walking a lot of it to deal with an ā€œupset stomachā€.

Only managed 11.5 hours last week but not a total disaster as it had some decent sessions. But the migraine didn’t help as I didn’t do much that day.

Only 2 hours of swimming and nothing particularly long which I need to change this week, I did get a good session in though where I was feeling quite good when I expected to be tired.

7:30 on the bike, but the 5 hour ride yesterday was good to get completed and then this mornings ~90 minutes on the TT bike. I’m probably going to get one more ride around 5 hours if possible and hopefully something on the TT bike.

2 hours of running, but did get a couple of useful treadmill sessions. Also, if I go back to a 7 day period from 30th August I actually managed nearly 60K and as quite a bit was on trail that was fairly pleasing. The leg was moaning a bit by Friday as a result so I haven’t ran since but will try to tomorrow.

Will see how this week goes.

13.25 hrs - helped by a very long day out with Mrs T yesterday

75km of running

2 run commutes - one in and one out - was quite pleased with that as it is a good time efficient way of getting some miles in

Ten hours !

Which is a very good number for a first week in Thailand …. Hamstring very slowly mending everything else is fine as it only stops me running and pushing very heavy sleds. ( none of those here )

Lots of core stretching and basic cardio machines.

Happy !

One single solitary 5am 50k desert ride. Dragged myself out. It was only 30C for most of it as was a bit cloudy. I remember when I used to do 10-15h a week like some folks on here… it seems a lifetime ago. Impressive numbers folks. Inspiring.

Have you managed to find many like-minded folk to ride/ run with?

Not yet, but I’m going to put some effort in shortly. Cycling events and clubs will start to pick up again in October once the furnace relents. I was chatting to a couple of Brits in a big group that overtook me and I hopped on. Lots of clubs out here.
