haven’t set a target yet but 3hrs would be nice (bit off that target at the mo!)
I did a 1:30 half this year, it was my first row for 3? Months, after doing quite a bit during the first lock down.
No way I would have managed another.
Started on a structured programme and my back went…
I might start very easy in the new year.
the guy that’s putting our plan together (Mrs FB is going to do a half - she’s an ex-rower which is one of the reasons we have a C2) did a 100km row in 2018. the thought of doing that makes me shudder!
That’s crazy.
42 would be more than enough.
Good luck to you both
I rowed a marathon a few years ago. My arse was in bits, couldn’t sit down for days (Merry Christmas btw…).
55 mins S&C.
5k row, followed by 2x0.5k.
Then some glute activation and kettlebell squats.
yeh - it’s the arse pain that worries me more than anything else. but it’s similar to cycling - getting the arse used to the miles.
The last 5k I was sort of leaning on one cheek, just hating my life.
Good luck though, can’t wait to see how you get on!
Didn’t TTowel hold the weight category WR for that distance many moons ago?
he still holds one record in the lightweight category
