In the garden…
Jesus tonight … we’re are the pics.
I was freezing in the garage.
I’ll bet your neighbours were amused.
Well done.

Just been out to turn everything on in the shed for turbo session after work. There was ice on the inside of the windows, really looking forward to it now
Was nice in the sun. Garmin said 14 degrees when I started. Was 3 an hour later.
Had winter tights on. Thermal jacket came off after 10 minutes.

I’m rapidly talking myself out of the garage tonight
I’ve done 7 in 7…
Just saying
In my defence I’m trying to take it easy to get over this injury properly while there’s nothing imminent.
Oh, and I’m a total wimp
If you were a total wimp… you’d be in the pubs that aren’t open slagging Boris for stuff that isn’t his fault… mostly.
Compared to the general population, none of us are total wimps, some are just a bit madder than others.
In all fairness I have had 7 days off.
Who knows what this year is going to look like?
Every time I go under a new benchmark, it does motivate me to see if I can get down to the next :10
True.
Keep going … genetic freak / super hero / teachers … (I mean that as a compliment) are not something you encounter too often.
Your training story is great reading for sure.
Snowy! I can see the pub from here!
Well it didn’t take long @Mungo2
6.35 miles
43:36 / 6:51 mile pace
127HR
Just need to find 7-8 seconds to get to 6:50
I think you need to go up to 11 or something, you’re really beginning to get to the stage where your load is going down, no reason to decrease your load, but you’re seemingly doing 3% less work today than 3 months ago, even as you’re producing the same output.
Sadly though that would ruin this experiment for the rest of us.
just completed a 13km continuous row - longest distance ever in one go.
my arse is killing me!
otherwise, kept a good pace although it was mentally tough between 6k and 5k - that period was a bit of a mental no-man’s land and my arse was given me serious grief at the time so I was doing lots of fidgetting around on the seat. but once 5km to go came, it became a bit easier knowing the end was getting closer.
dog knows how I’ll cope rowing a marathon!
Good man
Yesterday, first mad day of the year
0630 - 1 hour Club social Zwift Ride (around 200w)
1500 - 3 R classic Flat Race, 40km around London, came 3rd (AP311w for 50mins)
Straight onto a a Brick, 13.5km at 5:18/km HR was nice and low Zone 1 (125bpm)
Then I got a notification that @Daz was FB live Zwift race… chatting with him on FB as race was going, he suggested that I do the second part of the Crit in 20 mins (It was a 2 part Crit Race)
Back onto Turbo and Entered OH MY CRIT! - The Double Race 2/2 - 20km & 110 riders in Cat A… mostly very good. 25 mins of utter pain, held on to the lead pack, but no sprint left in my legs at the end. Actually pretty pleased to finish in lead pack in 44th place. 349w AP
Yeah I get your point.
There’s two ways to play it.
Just keep doing the same - roughly 2 hours a day of Z2 - 45 run / 75 bike - with one high intensity session a week for each (short duration intervals 60-90 seconds)
Increase the duration of the Z2 sessions but keep the intensity the same

both open and empty as well!
For avoidance of doubt those were 2 empties found at the roadside. Rode with them to the next bin. Which was something like 8 miles & all the while was wondering what my family would think if I got knocked off and killed🙄
