Training - What Training?!

I went to see him many years ago for some run coaching.

Nice guy

Good to know. He’s doing an interesting challenge at the moment as he’s piled on the kegs during lockdown IIRC he said he was 110 bur he doesn’t look that heavy. Anyway, he’s set a target of a sub 3 marathon before he is 40 and he’s currently 37.

2 30 free bike ride. I m sick of my winter bike now.

Got wet after an hour but I did find a cake establishment :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: after that.

90mins on Zwift doing the SST session. Legs still not feeling 100% but seemed to get through it ok.

had four cans of Lost Lager and a Jet Black Heart last night, then up at 0530, out a 0700 to do this…

…I’d say the last 20km of wind, hail, wind, snow, wind and rain was the cause of me dropping from 34kmh 220W to 33kmh 215W, but I blew up massively due to not really eating or drinking anything - mwah ha ha!

(Not sure why strava is showing different power to TP?)

It was your fault saying about 34kmh the other day.
Reckoned I could do it at IM pace - need special wheels and helmet and it’d be in the bag.

Although not too sure I wanna see those local TT roads any time again soon :see_no_evil:

Easy ride OUTSIDE with my new Tri group a bit of climbing with 1286m and 97.5km ticked off.

Then a 5km run at 4:25 pace to finish off.
TT bike shake down tomorrow and then my fist TT of the season with a club 10 on Monday

I never pay attention to the numbers on Strava. Bloody random number generator.

Top ride that :+1:t2:

April = little and often here. No race in mind, just enjoying the balance of SBR training again after a long time dry.

No training since Wednesday.

Why? Because I can’t seem to get out of bed in time!

Early mornings are my window for training, but missed the last few days. I suppose a combination of age, work and doing lots of stuff in the garden are making me sleep longer.

Used to be able to get up at 0430 every day no problem. Not so easy these days.

Is that a Strava Premium feature?
I can’t seem to find that chart?

Anyhow, pretty big month (for me) in April.
I usually average ~35 hours per month.
Three century rides done (well, if you say yesterday was 31st April )

I do need to run more!!!
Problem is accountability my runs are mainly 5pm based now, due to swimming.
Then if I have a shitty day at work, or get too involved with work, then I skip it.
As the only cook in the house, dinner need to be served by 7pm, so that impacts my window.

Going to have to have a think about this one…

This week has been woeful for me, not only training wise but how my injury has affected me mentally/emotionally. There is a lot going on with work, our landscaping and seems like 100 other things.

My total for the week is:
Run/walk 21k, 2hrs 10
Approx 60 mins strength.

I was going to risk a walk today but have decided to to take the family to Swinley and ride with Little One.
