Training - What Training?!

It was 24 degrees and reflecting off the 1km I did on the bypass like a furnace.
Quite a bit of shade on this route.
Only 48s slower than the last time I did it.

Felt easy whilst doing it.
Feel rough now.

Lost 2lbs during the run, and drank 1.5l during. Plus 4 66g gels…then smashed back a 500ml protein shake straight afterward.
So the sweat loss appears to be significant :fire::muscle:t3:

Cheers Jeff

I had a long buoyancy short swim planned anyway.

Sure it will be fine

Oh christ there’s a niche for everyone Out There. Put that into a porn search engine I dare you - just don’t share the results!

Fat Pom took a shine to my Japanese schoolgirl length assos socks ?!

Be a dull life if we all had the same … tastes I guess.

This thread has taken a rather humerous turn.

@funkster, OF you say? Sign me up.

@Mungo2 On a serious note, hope you recover quickly.

On a lighter note, this is doing nothing to reject the foot fetish perverts we’ll undoubtedly retract.

Anyway. 9.5 mile run for me this morning, relaxed in 1:12.

5k at lunch with a few minute pick ups

Easy 22k on the bike at over 32kmph. Felt nice and easy (if a bit hot).

1 swim left and that’s about the training done :flushed:

And now a swim!

The sea was gorgeous tonight. When I was swimming the back half of the swim, the sun was just cutting through the clouds, so I could see the cliffs and this ace sunset every time I breathed left. The sun was just glowing the bubbles my hands were making under water. Was dreamy.

Swam out to the buoys 1-200 metres offshore on the way back to get some sighting practise in. Good to know those skills are still there.

42 min swim. No idea on distance as running watch craps itself in the sea.

Do you have it on your wrist?

Could always try it around your goggles under your swim cap?!

I could do, yes. I guess the truth is I don’t really care.:rofl:

I have one single pace for swimming. I know it’ll take me about 36 mins on race day. So I’ve been swimming for 30-40 mins.

I’m not gonna get any faster, I just want to come out the water not wrecked.

Quitter!

Sounds like a great swim @gingerbongo - love it when you go out with a training mentality, and then unexpectedly realise you are really enjoying the moment

No alarm.
Out of bed at 7am.
Does that count?

Might hop on Zwift for a 30 minute loosener at some point

I woke up tired, hungry and grumpy after my busy day yesterday! Swimming tires me out!

Can we import things from Strava straight into this thread to save me reposting?

62 mins 3,963m swim
5 laps of the lake.
Again.

That’s 63, 59 and 62 in the past three weeks.

Knackered after yesterday’s jog.
Aching muscles and sore hips.

Easy effort, but hard work at the same time

Just caught up with this. Hope you are on the mend @Mungo2 ?

Apart from some strength work, I’ve done nuffink all week. Getting my head straight. Off to Swinley bike park with a mate on Saturday.
