First ever time without a wetsuit and was lovely…it a bit harder.

Hadn’t eaten all day - evening run in 26 degrees. Lasted all of 30mins before head spinning. I’m such a dumb ass

I had a little dip down in the Solent on Monday. Swam skins then too.

I’m definitely slower but really enjoyable

Went for a nice evening spin with a mate after supper. Bleddy lovely, though the traffic was a bit nobby. Obscenely busy down on Exmouth beach again. Like flippin Ibeefa down there.

Most days I’ll have a 14h ‘fast’. No breakfast is pushing it for me; WFH has made this much easier now, with no ride into work. I was also never one for eating breakfast at work.

I’ve got a swim booked this afternoon in the bath that is Boundary Breeze…but I need to swim in my wetsuit to test out my race kit underneath (2XU compression shorts and Castelli mesh base layer vest)

I also want to practise transition changing.

Debating just doing the 400m in the wetsuit, then
2 x 750m in just my shorts :man_shrugging:t4:
Not fussed on pace, all about race paced efforts innit :+1:t3:

I genuinely think I would have boiled in a wettie yesterday. Not often I swim without one!

5x5min @105%FTP with 5 min rest after each. Found it hard but achievable. Not used to pushing that hard and my legs are still wobbly an hour later.

Not maxing HR yet but only about 8bpm to spare.

Did this in full race kit - new helmet worked a treat, no fogging and no brain being melted.
Although this was about 2kmh slower than I’d have hoped for at that power :scream:

Short brick run off, again, full race kit.
I used RPE, deffo won’t be doing that on race day :bomb::boom::volcano:
