Have a bag and gloves but never use it!! How do you structure the 30secs ‘work’
Did today with my mate you go I go.
I lead he copies me, he’s improving.
Easy round hard round, great interval training and being able to punch someone three times really hard and accurately in about a second is an underrated skill.
Doesn’t make you swim any faster though!
7.5k underplaying run this morning, felt shocking.
Did parkrun.
First run in three weeks.
Over 20 minutes

Also did parkrun. Should have stayed in bed.
My legs are still forked!!
Parkrun with LO. She smashed it out of the park today with a 28.09 on my watch but results yet to come.
@JibberJim smelt blood this morning at parkrun knowing I was unlikely to be on top form after London last week, and set off at an impressive pace. Think he did very low 19, taking back the TT course record. Mod-20 for me.
Possibly not the best prep for my first track session on Tuesday.
First ParkRun in 2.5 years. Well over 20 but happy, nonetheless.
Exactly the same 7.5k route as yesterday. Thankfully felt a little better…. And quicker!
28.10 for LO officially, which means a PB by 42secs.
5.5 mile run
And sawed a bit of wood at suicide pace
Got given a rather generous 19:05. Got a cold, so a bit wheezy which meant I was actually breathing harder than normal, not sure I really set off any faster than normal, I did however keep company with the 3rd place guy when he passed me and actually passed back and closed us both up on second place. And I actually tried to stay with him up the hill, and did for the first hill, but got gapped by around 10 seconds or so on the second half of it (there’s a flat bit in the middle), I also managed to hold the gap on the descending bit until the bottom of the hill, and then lost another 15 seconds or so up the last hill to the finish.
Felt a bit bad after seeing the results and that one of my former running club mates was obviously being a tourist but I never saw him.
That guy you were talking to at the end is rapid, Ben Cole. I thought it might have been him, but only sure after seeing the results. He did a 2:40 at London with extremely even pacing.
I think he was still just dialled into that pace. Explains why I felt he was going too slow and passed him once it went onto a slight downhill, he was certain running easily - although only single word thanks for the marshalls so at least wasn’t at conversation pace.
Two hour walk today, with a chicken lunch and two pints.
Chicken what? Chicken salad, chicken nuggets, raw chicken. We need specifics.
I had a chicken schnitzel at the pub, with chips and a crappy side salad.
