Very easy 7.5km run without looking at my watch
5:02/km 128bpm
GPS is very suspect
A wahoo head wind and a tower fan both blasting
?
You have all three machines at home ?!?
Yes went on a spending spree during lockdown
and bought the three C2 machines along with a semi commercial treadmill.
To be fair, I’ve had my C2 Model D for 12 years…… been absolutely brilliant.
Anyway, steady 30 minute run for me this lunchtime.
My brother bought a reconditioned one 2? Years ago, when he moved back to the north west “ he left it in his attic”
Nicest guy in the world but a financial fuckwitt of the first order.
600M reps on the track with the club, didn’t quite bust a gut but good to be with the other people. Helps get me out on a cold dark night.
And a lot more appealing than that Zwift race

Physio has been and gone. More exercises to test this left hip. It’s staggering how weak my left side is. He said it’s definitely going to be a process that won’t happen quickly. He’s adjusting my program.
Also he made some funny faces when I mentioned Goodwood marathon, don’t think he’s keen on me doing it and he wants to focus on me getting strong for next year’s goals. We will re-asses in 4 wks.
“staggering”, you say?
I type with a limp.
Dropped another level at run club but HR still too high, peaking over 160 too.

5x5 strength in the garage gym. Christ it was cold. Can remember last time I worked out in joggers and a hoody.
Had to wear a heavier layer in the garage at the start of zwifting last night, then went out in the car and the temp was 2.5C so not overly surprising really
Need to look at decent heaters methinks, with a remote control
Was thinking the same. I’ve got an old oil radiator somewhere. Might plug that in with a smart plug and can turn it on when I wake up.
I’ve found I’m alright up top once I get going but somehow my feet seem to get colder in the garage on Zwift than they do outside. then I have to wait at least 20 mins before I can shower because it’s too painful.
If you’re just wanting a bit of heat to feel comfortable at the start of a zwift session, I’d look at an infrared one pointed at you, you don’t move when turboing and it won’t heat up the room too much for later in the ride when you want it cold.
It’s only my power rack in the garage. Bike is in the office. To be honest the worst part was gripping the cold barbell.
40mins on Zwift - getting back into a routine (of sorts)
same here, last year I had a heater at foot level on each side on the colder days, seems a bit ridiculous wearing overshoes indoors
That’s a good plan. I have to start running the dehumidifier in the garage soon as the moisture builds up in winter, which in turn can make it cold.
I was worried last year about how much it would cost to run but I had it on for a few hours each day and barely noticed a difference on my bill. I was pulling out about a 1/3rd of a bucket each day for the first week, then it settled down.
