Lifting in the morning, and a slightly harder aerobic run in the evening. Seeing what I get with +10bpm. Not much.

The 30s per km faster felt speedy though

really needed to run before I embark on hours of gardening and yard work but I didn’t, I stayed in bed.

For shame :pensive:

XC…… proper cold, proper muddy… bloody good fun!

Did highlight my tragic loss of cardio fitness though!

I’m continuing to focus on running and had another 20 mile week. This is enough of a load for me to cope with at the moment. My foot injury has cleared up well. Still there, but by no means painful, but my lower back and glutes are starting to feel the strain. I’m doing another couple of hours a week of SandC and hopefully with a focus on my glutes I’m hoping that I will be running a bit more comfortably. Still focussing on training for ParkRun every other week or so and heading closer to 19 mins.

Finished with a 16 km plod on the t mill.
5:25 kms 138 av.
No back pain !

11.5 hours this week, which is good for a grumpy, old, demotivated miser with a bad back.

Highlights include a full distance swim, two good runs at low ish hr.

Lots of hyrox stuff we’re technique used coming.

Full week of nights now, be taking it easy for sure.

Just a tad under 9hrs this week of more base work. Long way to go yet!

I have had a week pretty much completely off. Did a run of sorts on Tuesday night, and a little Zwiftette on Thursday night after the laptop finally updated. Apart from that, nowt. Wanted a week clear to reset and reboot after quite a lot of running over the last 2 months. And to be honest, the leg muscles still don’t feel fully recovered which is bizarre.

I’m going to slip back into maintenance mode now for a bit I think, ie some running, cycling or maybe even swimming once per day pretty much every day, but unstructured, just on feel, and nothing more than an hour-ish.
