Probably for the best. Still sucks though. I feel your frustration, I would be lost if I couldn’t run at the moment.

Great work everyone. Trying to squeeze things into the ever reducing daylight hours but achieved a wee personal milestone with my first sub-50min 10k at lunchtime. Celebrating with a couple of bottles of beer and a Chinese this evening like a true athlete.

Still working out what to celebrate as I’ve been unable to do anything yesterday or today. :thinking:

Nothing for me today but we did go to Parkrun where I volunteered and Mrs FP and LO ran together. LO had a massive 94 sec PB with a 26.38 and left Mrs FP for dead with about 500 mtrs to go.

So clearly I know nothing about pacing or coaching. :laughing:

20mins easy warmup on treadmill.

Couple of Super Sprint Ergathlons,
500mtr row
500mtr ski
1000mtr bike

Slightly better transitions on the 2nd set.

30 mins very easy core incorporating the stretching the physio gave me.

Same as yesterday and the day before….!

Doesn’t seem to be getting any better to be honest.

She did say it would feel very stiff for a few days.

Just hope this mends, obviously a bit hacked off but nothing compared to what some have put up with recently.

Do a session tomorrow and see how we go.

Don’t know where else to put this, but as a man who very rarely recalls dreams, I’ve had two nights in a row dreaming about racing Ironman. Cant think of any time I’ve dreamed about racing.

My subconscious is rebelling against my single sport drive, I guess.

I’ve added to yesterday’s excess with a massive pub meal for FIL bday, with a pint and a pudding. Skipped dinner but had over half a bottle of wine this evening and some crisps. Not my healthiest two days ever! :joy:

Out for a while tmw morning though. 3 x laps of our hilly little route with a few mates.

Feeling awful today. Think it’s a perfect storm of bad diet, booze and kids’ illness floating about.

Only did 2 rather than 3 of my planned laps after finally convincing my mates to go for the 3. Felt crap from the get go. Nav was shocking, despite having run it so many times. Felt like my brain was in a fog. Stacked it on a really benign section, cut my knee quite deep.

Got home and just feel worse. Shame as it was a properly gorgeous morning. Low autumn sun rising over the sea and lighting up the red cliffs. :ok_hand:t4:
