10km from Lympstone along the Exmouth seafront and back via the Exe Estuary trail.
Fantastic sunrise.
Old ladies taking their daily dip in the Channel hard as nails that lot - air temp 0C. Dry robe city
Drive back to Manchester - grey and overcast, snow on the ground 2 degrees. Great little trip that - lovely area of the world - very jealous of the Budleigh resident of this site
We have small hills ( 15m elevation ) not too far away that are good enough for running, but itâs pan flat here. Nothing thatâs a good bike climb until you get west of Hull.
The nearest 10 mile TT course to me is called âWitches Titâ
Very impromptu 5k time trial. 5km at 4:40s âwarm upâ, 5k aiming for 3:30s. Finished with a 17:35 which is 25 second PB. On my own and in 900km well used Tempos. Not far off my equivalent VDOT compared to my HM time. Could probably find a bit more in an actual race.
Fairly neutral hill wise, same with the wind, some was into, but it wasnât that windy anyway! Have a Strava stalk! Felt way more fresh that when did I the same this time last year.
Its more for comparison wise for me, I ran the same route pretty much bang on a year ago last time when I did a 17:59. Also when was Stravas elevation estimations that accurate? Do the 5km before going up hill not cancel it out I canât find anywhere that is flat enough to do it unless I do small loops somewhere (not happening)
