Wasn’t going to risk a run after all the bending yesterday. Went for a 6km walk instead.

Despite not doing much yesterday I’m still fairly sluggish today, calf’s are still tight from Saturday and my massage has been cancelled. So I’ve been having a go at them myself and with the stick.

Might have a go on Zwift tonight if the Wattbike is working, fancied a race but might just keep it steady.

Last jog in Edinburgh, an easy one after a late night but no booze. Lovely rain and wind :upside_down_face:

Think the Nike Trained App got into my head…

…. So went to the gym this morning.

Rowing: 4k tempo, 0.5k sprint.
Then side leg raises, weighted bridges, goblet squats, bicep curls, military presses and side planks.

2 sets of each, 30 seconds rest.

1 hour brick session, 20km on the turbo then run until the hour is up.
I do it outdoors in the summer on the same course every week. The measure is how far I run, either by running faster or biking faster to give more running time, but bike too hard and can’t run as far because legs are fubar.

An hour of circuit training followed by 45mins on the rower this morning. Just finished watching the first 3 episodes of Cobra Kai season 1 while Zwifting in erg mode.

Public family swim with diving off the middle board.

Allotment digging and prep, good sub for strength work.

CTL is down 34 from 90 days ago, but up 12 from a year ago.

Looking forward to the season ahead focusing on shorter distance triathlons. Hopefully grab a 5 and 10k PB on my way.

I rode 2.5hrs at 238W NP on Friday and it felt easy (HR was 136bpm ave, my low Z1 is 138)

Just a low HR 40 minute run, the first since Christmas. Perceived effort was way above HR and speed. My mood wasnt helped by the fact it’s been a beautiful sunny day but started to snow as soon as I got my trainers on. 2022 is going to be a long year if that was anything to go by.

Just a 20km easy zwift today. Picked a new route badge , 25km on Watopia, but zwift disconnected all my devices after 20k and wouldn’t reconnect. Added day 2 yoga this evening.

I did the Hardmoors30 on NYDay, first V50 and 10th, after a v cr@p start as I did a road maraThon at Bridlington 2 days earlier, D’Oh, but somehow picked up and finished last half relatively strongly. Was in 30th for the 1st third! Twas a tad muddy/slippy going! :poop:

I am starting 2022 correctly By waking up at 6 am heading to the pool and swimming 1500 m in 25 minutes.

Just drills.

Long road back to 85s per 100m
