Salomon UltraGlide is a very un Salomon like shoe. The others are pretty harsh.
Ive never seen a single good review about any Nike trail shoe but I’ve never tried them. The Peregrine 11 gets good raps as an all rounder.

Yeah, I started to feel the negative reviews were so samey it’s like influencers were just being lazy and copying each other. That or on Salomons payroll.
Like I said, just a first run and nothing super challenging the quality seems good but we’ll see if they’re still in my kitbag next year before abandoning Salomon.
For me, that’s where the Nikes fail
Their trail shoes are abysmal on wet pavements.
I used the Pegasus weather shield version for my “trail” running now, as the sole on that is brilliant.
Tried to get onto a B endurance ride this morning but chain slipped seconds before banner. Ran at 300+ to try to catch on, but double draft and a ten second deficit wasn’t happening. Tried for 2.30 then binned the chase.
Jumped onto SST(med) and completed Everything Bagel.
Good little session, however…
a) probably a bit of an ambitious first week back after a really low December
b) hadn’t revised my ftp in zwift down to current fitness. So that made the supposed 85/90% intervals more like 84/93% which proved rather fruity. Went from almost binning it off in the first rep to hitting the session bamkg on. So super chuffed with that.
Hopefully some progress. 11km to the coffee shop, pace felt easy so I am surprised to see 5.17!
Won’t take any risk, will walk the 3km home.
Please let it continue🤞
Fairly sedate club run on the 15kg steel winter bike, with 85kg of me in my kit
Disappointed not to hit 1kW in the final sprint effort, but did manage a nice Low average HR
Time for some flooring and painting now
30 minute spin class for me, heavy sweating post jab.
6k treadmill
1hr bike
6k ski
10mins rowing drills
18k frosty run, enjoyable but also a bit boring as mostly on the paths.
16km out and back with Mrs T on her bike plus Oska
The out was hard - into the wind and also with yesterday’s 15x1km treadmill intervals in my legs.
The back was much easier
Day 6 of YWA to come - dreading it from what others have said - my core isn’t my strong point
A lovely 11km frosty run this morning with Oxygenaddict podcast on. Takes me to 40km for the week.
Easy paced off-road run trying to avoid the sloppier trails. Saw this fella & later bumped into Mrs @Scrubz
The like is for the cow BTW
Meh, decent run as well
She mentioned she saw you, mate.
This ride made it 10hrs 15mins for me this week
3 swims
2 core sessions
Too many Zwifts
(I can’t run at the moment, so replaced easy runs with core/strength and the two harder ones with a Zwift)
4hrs on the bike this morning. Came off in the first 20 minutes on ice. No damage done except some scuffed bar tape, so I’d better buy a new bike. Although hilly, ave. speed a lowly 14mph. Still really struggling with any effort over a moderate rpe.
Glad to hear you’re ok. It was slippery AF on my run this morning.
Another reasonable week for me, partly recovering from the trail race last weekend and returning to work.
101K mostly Wattbike K’s but with a few hard efforts, until it broke even more!
40K running, not much on the hills but did make it to the club session on Tuesday and the parkrun yesterday.
Erm, still no swimming
Easy week incoming, had 3 better weeks but got a few hassles at work and other things this week, also working on Saturday. And this will hopefully freshen me up for the HM next Sunday.
A bit sore today after this mornings run, not really used to that kind of distance on a hard\flat path without the changes of pace.
A nice steady 13 mile run but a bit windy on the sea front
nice
