I see a couple of our guys came off on a roundabout yesterday.
Glad to hear your spill wasnāt too bad!
The call of the turbo is strong this time of year!!
Plan takes an upswing in TSS from this week towards Lanza
4x750ās this morningā¦10:29,10:29, 10:29, 10:25
Week 2 Workout 1
Foundation ride
5 x 6:00 @ 75%
Aero bars and focus on pedal phases.
Easy start to the week
5h 36m training last week, 3h 21m running - missed opportunity to run last Monday and Tuesday because of lifting too heavy, but positive from that point forward.
Iāve recently fitted tri bars to my indoor bike to spend more time and holding the aero position. Itās not quite the same position and setup as TT bike, but its a start
Yeah, Iām on the actual TT bike indoors, but it feels different to outside.
To me, everything is harder indoors
My first outdoor TT ride last year was 162km at 33kmh, so not too fussed about it
(Although I feel old and frail this year, so my back might snap if I try that again)
Years back I bought the same frame as my race bike, albeit a lower spec, and set it up as close as possible to race position.
Currently on the turbo until spring time.
If Iām pootle-ing around Tempus Fugit or Tick Tock, Iāll normally do half the course on the bars and half on the drops.
Garage workout this morning.
Rowing, 5k, 0.5k sprint
S&C, donkey kicks, weighted bridges, squats and calf raises
20 minute Kettlebell Hiit followed by 10 minute yoga. Slept in or would have been longer on both
Crit City race.
3 hard workouts on the bike in 4 days, plus 2 x 2hr runs (after a month of no running) in the last 7.5 days.
Sure thatās a recipe for something. Not sure itās success!
Meant to be heading out for a 6km at 2.00 but Iām warm and my jumper is very cosy and itās just started raining and ,stuff
Thatād be 3.75kg squats for me
Dragged myself out the door. 6km, 32,27 at 5.24 pace
An ok week for me. Technically about a 10 hour week but if you include hill stuff as time on the feet then it gets bumped up a bit. Rest day today.

Turbo 2:00
Run: 5:00
Core/stretching etc 1:15
Hike/hillwalking 7:30
