I just fell asleep 6-7pm
Bunch of Makuri badge hunting coming in about 80 minutes
Got my ass handed to me in the GCCC Richmond 2 lapper but 63 TSS for a post work spin is fine with me
7km recovery run with Mrs T but yoga slipped a day again
1500m swim for me, reckon I can go up to 1800m next week
I reckon the 1:30/100m will come very soon
6 x 200m CSS (got caught up on the fifth rep)
4 x 25m hard
2 x 50m moderate
100m easy pull cool down
Tried to have a running recovery week last week and ran 32km in total and even had 2 days off, but I went climbing 4 times and mainly did overhanging routes. In the 100/100 challenge I’m 59/100 on day 58.
Yesterday I did a 12km trail run and today 9.7km trail run and felt so lucky that I wasn’t being beaten by the rain and wind like the Spine runners at the moment! Going climbing later for a few hours.
Good work Anna
Thanks FP, how’s the running going? I saw that you had started to run again
OK I think Anna, doing a mix of easy running and 6km walks in there, clocked up 32km last week injury free and am on 19km so far this week.
I know the walking won’t help with Brighton marathon in April but I’m looking beyond that and just trying to rebuild a sensible and stronger base.
I actually got dressed today. Hurrah
Covid still very mild - just annoying that I have to inside really.
May jump in the turbo this evening for an easy spin, see how I fair
8.5 mile 🏃♂️ today. Heel holding up.
… early days still - second run back. Encouraging
My migraine has finally gone but have to say, looking out the window is hardly inspirational for getting out there!
Open event tonight so nipped to the gym at lunch
Bench press
Single leg deadlift
Shoulder press
Seated row
Finished off with barbell squats with 40kg on the bar
Managed a set of 50 and then one of 35 before form started to collapse
Just did the school run, christ that was bad enough!
OK, time to start swimming a bit more regularly again… Mondays organised for a technique session, and Wednesday for a club session, which will no doubt be an utter puke fest…
How has the indoor trainer worked for you?
82 minute tempo Zwift workout.
Boring.
Anything over 60 minutes indoors is
Its been OK… certainly helped with muscles in my back…. but yet to properly test anything in the water…. I hope it’ll help support a point that @Poet made elsewhere, that faster swimming needs gym work, as well as time in the water.
