What you need is a double race header, lad
Zwift workout - Mat Hayman Paris-Roubaix
Found it not too bad, I think my FTP might be a set a little low.
Finished with a 1500 mtr row, pace increasing from 2:03 to 1:52
Where you spin the first race and scoop up the points in the second?
Nah, smash them both
Iāll make sure to enter the 2/2 race you do to beat you then
(In five weeks time, after this block and Iāve got my turbo back, plus bought some caffeine gum and PR lotion)
And your racing weight
Does that stuff work?? Seems mega expensive for what kind of return?
Stepping up a few groups with the club to start bringing back intensity. Still a timid 6:00/km group keeping it under the top end of the aerobic HR zone.
Thinking of abandoning Garmin plan as it doesnāt match my running at the moment, but it is getting me āout thereā. Unfortunately it means that my workout tonight turned off the watch 50mins in and I missed maybe a mile or so of hard running. Annoying. I know it doesnāt matter but itās still annoying.
Said no triathlete ever
Another swim
Feeling much better in the pool, but still sticking with my plan of building slowly back up to 2-3km sets.
(Which will coincide with lighter, warmer mornings when I can get up earlier)
5 x 300m, Thinking about parts of the stroke on each one;
Hand entry
Breathing (3/5/7)
Rotation
Kick
Easy cool down
Had to Google that, PR means an entirely different thing in some circles
Cruise intervals on treadmill at the gym 5x6mins plus warm ups and cool down plus time swapping treadmill when the first one decided to reboot for some reason
Had a bit of a break through yesterday evening. Normally when I run anything over 5km I feel quite fatigued when climbing. But yesterday after running 9.7km I felt really strong and could attempt some quite challenging routes. Hope this wasnāt a one off and Iām getting fitter.
9.6km this morning in the cold -4C. 60/100. Planning on going out again later!
Decided against the turbo last night. Actually felt slightly rough yesterday afternoon.
With absolutely nothing to gain I see no point in pushing it
Day 6 YWA was enough for my core
Our local mega leisure centre has a climbing wall Anna. Lo is 8yrs old, so I assume thatās old enough (Iāll check). Iād like to book a session for her to try it out.
Any tips?
Plenty of 3 and 4 year olds in most climbing places.
Is it one of those super simple āclick and climbā places?
Theyāre great and require zero prior knowledge, as theyāve an automatic belay system at the top of each climb.
My daughter goes to one and enjoys it.
Just as a leisure activity, though, not as sport.
Itās this, you can scroll down to the Rock Climbing (it wouldnāt link directly)
8 is a perfect age to start climbing as they are then old enough to learn the figure 8-knot and verbal signals. The only tips I can give are let her climb as high as she feels comfortable - the height can be quite intimidating at first. Some kids can climb to the top and others get more nervous, only manage a few meters and then feel like failures. Also, if you can rent some climbing shoes then do, these make climbing more fun and trainers are too chunky.
Let me know if you try it out! Also, give it a try yourself FP
Hereās a picture of where I climb itās 16m high:
