All the gear… Except a working pump…

I feel your pain, brother :sob:
Also, WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE EFFING REAR

Happened to me with the wrong length valves/non-removable core a few weeks ago.

Ordered 5 80mm tubes with removable cores :+1:t3:

5km jog to Parkrun then LO informed me she wanted to ‘go hard’. So we ran a 25.37 which I think is a PB for her in that course.

Gives me 94km for the week

Had the co2 and tube. Just failed for some reason (that reason being me).

2up with a mate who loves to find every pot hole or swerve last minute. Full impact and blew out instantly. Fucking gorgeous day… And don’t have time to get out again :sob:

Whoah whoah whoah.
BackTF up here…

…you got out for a normal ride, with a sperm hat, disc wheel, as a 2-Up TT??? :exploding_head::exploding_head::exploding_head:

Lol what’s wrong with that?
Bit of company, keeps pace honest, safety on numbers and still get time in position.

Just cause you don’t like people :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Also, what was wrong with your mates pump?
I’ve only ridden solo a handful of times this year.

Riding in the TT position with people isn’t that sociable.
Is it?

Just a bit more of a distraction. The main thing for me is it gets me out , without the usual procrastination.

He’s tubeless and rides with nothing. I had tube and co2. Need to go back to carrying a pump.

He’s an idiot.
If I was his husband / wife / whatever and he called me asking for a lift, he would get an FRO and have to use his own money for a taxi.

Annoyingly I was quite well prepared.
Tube, co2, multi tool, chain links, tyre boot, valve extension.
Tube was in fine too… Just me being a flid with co2.

First run since Thames Path 100 last weekend

Paced Mrs T to a 58m 10km and then followed up by refreshments in the pub by the canal at the end

What?!?
No zip ties? Or valve core? :joy:
I’ve even got some Duct tape on my seat post.
100% self sufficient. Or it’s walking home for me.

On my own today.
Chucked in a few “hills” (as much as Epping Forest can supply)
35 mins of non ride time @Poet
2 very quick in/out of Blackmore Co-op for fluids
1 slightly longer at Hatfield Heath Co-op for a meal deal
1 pee stop
Far too many road works / traffic lights

nice :+1:

Good effort, but there’s more work to do yet, young Padowan :person_fencing:

Here, have this as a Bronze Standard.
I’ll try and better this soon. Reckon I could go under 4:30 with no stops if it’s warmer than 9° :snowflake::cold_face:

100K pootle for a scone, AP was only 165W apparently, NP was 185W.

Totally different riding outside with the spikes and easy sections.

Went for swim. Lake was almost perfect temp and visibility was lovely.

3/4 round lap 1, take a sharp right after a large bouy and… almost hit by a paddle board. I’ll stop then shall I.

100 metres lately, a lady doing backstroke almost comes into me as she drifts off from the bank at 45 degrees.

Almost a lap in…as a canoe/kayak (thing) edges towards me. Seemingly drifting helplessly. If only they had a tool to paddle.

And yet the best was saved till last… Throwning in another small loop, a hoarde of paddle boarders blocked the swim circuit. I deviate around… Only to be “chased” inwards as the lady beat at the water like she was making an omelette. No idea how she was managing to go backwards.

Fun times.

I think we need some of those Neptune torpedoes for the paddle-boarder’s!
