Training - What Training?!

Nah, finished drinking about 7:30 as a lot of people were going home, some had been out since dinnertime though.

Although I was nackered later on and had a catnap about 5!

6 1/5 hours for me.

Couple of days cycle commuting in the wet.
One day run commuting in the wet.
Bushy Parkrun in filthy conditions, had absolutely no grip. Finished just over 20 minutes. Fairly pleased with that considering the conditions and I’ve done no speed work for ages. Still had a few finishing in under 16:30 mind.

I’ve no idea who Ben is but I was super pleased to put 6 seconds into my namesake

Short swim today and I’ll see what I can get away with next week!

Yikes, 20 minutes and not even in the top 50!

Mind, our local fast course had a sub 15 yesterday and 15 under 18 minutes :flushed:

I think over 1200 turned up yesterday! Massive

4hrs 34mins for me

1 nice swim
1 dull turbo
1 awesome (but too short!) outside ride
2 great runs

Went through a full bottle of gin (with the wife’s help) and three bottles of red wine this week :see_no_evil:
Also had a fair few ales.
Whoops!

Busy week for me…

14 hours.

Last tough one as next week is Xmas and recovery week, nice to see I’ve had 12 this year…

Aero bike fit went well with a very very fast cyclist…

Just done a two hour turbo and the front may need to come up a touch…

Toughest session was a silly long static bike that I bailed out of at 161 kms …
I just couldn’t take any more and was the low point of the week…

Highlight of the week was a two hour treadmill run at 12 kph with an AV HR of 134 that is a real break through run for me.

Merry Xmas one and all!!

Back to it this week after a week off with a cold.
Managed 2 easy runs in the week of 6 and 5 miles.
Did a 12 miler today @7:05 pace which was a bit quick for getting back into it and now I am fooked

OMG, I think I would have just shot myself :flushed:

Well done for that turbo and 2 hour dreadmill, could you actually walk afterwards?

The turbo was effortless … literally just getting used to the position

The run was similar… I did the exact same run this time last year, nearly 3 kg heavier this week but 11 bpm less average so when the chub comes off I should shift.

The static ruined me, the Q factor is so wrong and even though there upright there very uncomfortable

It was a charity thing…

I think the 2 times I’ve had ITB quite bad it was down to using static gym bikes with the massive Q factor, I avoid them now, although my Wattbike is fairly wide as well.

8km treadmill run. Started at 5.40s and knocked off 10 secs every 2 km, which hurt a bit after yesterday.

5 runs totalling 49K last week and a couple of bikes, one was a wattbike, so quality rather than distance, although it was only 20 minutes at tempo’ish.

managed an easy 11k trail run with the club this morning, plenty of stopping and regrouping so largely a recovery effort.

Anyone parkrunning on Christmas day, think I’ve got the choice of 3 within about a 10 mile radius, including two fast courses.

We are planning on a Xmas Day parkrun but need to work the Hampshire to Somt logistics out first.

Might do the double on NYD!
Delamere at 9am, Northwich at 1030 - there’s just enough time to cycle between them

Might see you there depending on how the night before goes!
