Got to the pool this morning and for once there were a couple of people in there.
Didn’t bother me as I was doing pull and paddles, so didn’t matter if I had to slow/speed up.

Off I went and seemed to take an awfully long time for my watch to vibrate indicating 500m

Stopped to see if I had pressed start.
Yep. Maybe I’d put it on OWS
Got to 15 mins which would be 1km
Stopped the watch to see 0m
Saved that.

Changed it over to pool swim and off I went.

Checked the watch after 100m and still no distance.

Nothing to do other than swim.
So did another 1hr 15min.

Probably about 5800-5900m

Yeah probably what happened to my watch, and why it only read 1800m at the end of my session. Was probs more like 7k I’d say :wink:

I did a 2, 4, 6, 4, 2 hundred pyramid. Got progressively slower again, but it was all relatively a bit faster than last time with a slightly smaller drop off. So super slow progress, but progress nonetheless. :+1:t3:

That’s 3 swims in 3 weeks! :scream:

11km 55min (ish! A few metres and minutes shy, but I’m not jogging down the road and back :joy:) jog.

138bpm - which is the very end of my Z1

I wore Alphas to help my precious little ankle along :baby:t3::baby_bottle:
Found it hard to go much slower than 5:00/km.
I must try harder to go slower as I’m building back up.

The Good Doctor and Welsh Lad inspired me to get out there and do a simulation.
Sacked off the Ā£7 I’d already paid for OW swimming, as I’d saved Ā£5 for wussing out on the TT last night.

Leaving at school pick up time is a fantastic idea, as the drivers are really concentrating on driving and the roads aren’t busy at all.

Had a gel, and went out with 500ml fluid on the TT bike for the first time this year.

Rode to feel. where that feel was 70.3…just turns out that number was 245W, which is what I’d said elsewhere.
Just gotta do a few more of these now to get it dialled in :+1:t3:

Zwift reckoned my FTP was 242W yesterday.
Yeah, that can FRO :joy::joy::joy:

Did the TT this evening. Empty stomach after being ill, mouth vomit from sports drink but only a minute down on last year. Conditions were pretty good though. My best 20 min power of the year :triumph: IF 1.07 and VI 1.04

My trainingpeak all-time power is full of over estimated turbo rides (maybe I was riding more/stronger as well), so I feel like those are going to stay there forever now :sob:
