Club run midsummer celebration with beer halfway round. :beers:

I haven’t run this slowly since January but it looks like my HR is inline. It’s the feeling of fatigue that’s different.

Nevertheless I’ll try my
Old easy pace on Thursday see
How that goes.

2km 1:38/100m swim
Awful :sob:

Just some strength work with the pull and paddles.
Bit of kick, breast and IM, too.
Just always felt like I was fighting with the water, rather than working with it :sob:

Planning a brick this morning, just about to press go.

2 hrs bike, 1 HR run

Going to be a sweaty one. Got the buffet lined up. CPD for the first hour/ as long as I can tolerate.

Been called into work this afternoon, not sure I’ll be in any fit state

Target power/hr output? Target run output?

Good man, I’ve got my eye on doing something similar tomorrow. Not sure what CPD is, but I’ll be watching Saving Private Ryan.

(Just Googled CPD…shoot me now )

Love the Black & Decker turbo desk! Wish I’d thought of that before I bought a LifeLine one.

I said ā€œtargetā€ … :grinning:

No beer last night mind

Yeah that’s mental. Turbo Watts are even harder as well!

My TT bike still isn’t back. :sob: My mate text to complain how much of a pig it is to work on. I was hoping to get an early morning TT in tomorrow before the weather changes, but looking unlikely. Fri is looking a possibility.

Sat is out as I’m solo with the kids - but could turbo if needed. Sun and Mon are out as well as I’m going to have a monumental, existential crisis hangover! :joy:

I like using an ironing board, it’s long so plenty of space, height is adjustable, folds up and stores easily, and I’ve not ironed anything in ages.

Evidently catching my plantar heel issue early was a good move (10k PB) however I think it has subtly changed my running style and not necessarily in a bad way. I think I’ve moved to striking much more front and mid foot rather than mostly mid. Another lesson learnt is I race alot better with a complete day of rest before hand.

11km at 4:40s over lunch, glute DOMs after squats on Monday, then Barbell METCON at the gym after work. Going to try and smash a few more double days in the next few months.

Dropped the car for MOT in town and jogged the 5km back. Left quad isn’t overly happy but ok, right forearm is very bruised and definitely doesn’t like the pounding but apart from that and general fragility, all seems ok.

5km, 29.50 at 5.58 pace

Really???
You don’t tense up and feel awful?
I always feel lethargic after a proper rest day (I might not exercise SBR on my days off, but they’re certainly not restful!!!)

1 hour in to turbo ,tolerating the CPD, hamstrings feeling a little tight in aero pos but otherwise ok.

1 litre water, 750mls high 5 + 1 banana down. Time for cake. Think I’m definitely on for 240W :+1:

Is that your dodgy over reading turbo? Or the pedals?
