Managed 3Km at 4.00m/Km, 500 metres further than last week. sub 20min parkrun a realistic possibility before the end of the year.

Can’t remember my last triafleet day.

Swim distance/pace bit off actual.

Eh? I thought you couldn’t run???
That’s spicy!!!

Me? I manned up and headed out feeling a bit more like a 40yo man each and every day.

Knee felt a bit ā€œwonkyā€ so had to do this a bit slower than I’d’ve liked (70.3 Heart rate is 155bpm)
Used the Streakfly to avoid a carbon plate aggravating my knee further :+1:t3:

Well rehab take 4 on the knee is about 4 months in. I’ve been very careful with multiple day rests between runs. Lots of treadmill. Built up distance very slowly.

Knee feels better off the bike (and I’ve historically ran better off the bike as most of my training used to be after a commute).

Let’s be honest… It’s not rapido. And it hurt like hell
But was good to stretch the legs a bit.

Lol @Poet you w****"r

What are these ā€œmiā€ units???

I said my knee felt ā€œfunnyā€ !
So I had to run slower innit :eyes::man_shrugging:t4::rofl:

Just ā€˜cos I don’t ever run fast, doesn’t mean I can’t :grimacing:

Also, @mw22 - if you’re gonna run 5km, you may as well put some effort in for <20 :+1:t3:
I know it’s PAN FLAT from your house to west Park and back.

I can go in miles or km.
Garmin connect is in km…Strava in miles.

I’m bi-metric :person_shrugging:

Bike in miles. Run in km. So what :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

May I refer you to evidence A…

You snowflakes ok with BPM or do I need to display that a different way :grimacing:

Edit look at those mountains of elevation.

I don’t run round west park. Hate it.

How are you still alive?
Is your HR strap broken???

You clearly went off too hard and paid for it later!

Keep it smooth…(lace tie at 4km turn point)

Was wrist HR… So might not be spot on.
Pace was pretty consistent…big hill up to first roundabout

Lol looks like all the cots crew have been trying to ā€œimproveā€ themselves before next week

:muscle::muscle::grinning:

Some decent running there :+1:

As much as this race has stressed me trying to get fit. It has given me some focus and forced me to ā€œriskā€ the knee. But without that I might still be waiting to start running.

I’m so lacking run mileage tho. It’s really showing on every run.

Watching Wimbledon and blown away by the age of Murray, Williams and Nadal and their athleticism.
Then my wife reminds me of my age and the fact I do these ridiculous triathlons :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

So back to being humble and remembering I’m happy to be able to do it :+1:t3::grin:

Hour and a bit OW :man_swimming: Garmin battery died so estimated 2500m probably

Loch full after lot of rainfall yesterday. But calm today with a gentle swell. Overcast and really quiet. Swam right out into it all. Pretty fantastic.

Heel still not right so F knows what’s going on there… residual covid thing? … bleedin’ nuisance

Still feel off, a second day of no training.

May try a gym workout in the morning.
