I’ve had the Orca 226 for a few years too. Really comfortable trisuit but weirdly get a rub wound on the chest below the neck where the zip stops on all long distance races. I never notice until I remove it and shower and then it smarts for days until it heals up.
I’ve backed out completely now and bought myself a nice new waterproof jacket instead. Will get a lot more use!!
I’ll revisit this thread next spring i think, see how finances are looking etc.

Yeah, I don’t have a Trisuit at all…well, I’ve a sleeveless Team GB one from 2013, but I’m 18% heavier now…and my surname has a more than 18% stretch across my beer belly

My ‘bargain’ Huub Anemoi+ arrived last week. I’m not 100% convinced with the fit especially the wrinkling on the arms when I move them together & forwards for the bike position. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get rid of it, and even if I could if I was to wear this in a race I think there’s little chance it’d stay that way.
Are those wrinkles going to negate any benefit the suit might have?
I’ve gone for a large and my all measurements I’m pretty much in the middle of that range. This is my first sleeved suit. Annoyingly the sleeve goes right to my elbow and that seems to cause a slight wrinkle at the bottom too. Overall it feels comfortable, I’m not sure I’d really want to try and squeeze into a medium.
The gripper on the leg feels slightly loose too as it’s only just above my knee which is quite narrow, but with the leg I can pull it up slightly to my thicker part of thigh to take up the slack.
PS Yes I know I need a shave.

Those slack thigh grippers eventually (maybe 30 hours of use?) go slack and just flap about.
Same with the arm grippers.

I ended up going small in the Endura suit even though the size chart said I was comfortably a medium. It is the only way to get the tight fit but it does mean it is a pain to get on/off and it feels like it will rip any second. Haven’t done a tri since buying it, only used it for bike TTs where the fit is fine. Not sure about swimming and running yet.
Liked the Zone3 on most likely going to stick with it. Although I am tempted by one of the flashy patterns on an £80 Zoot number now their sale is on. But I’m fairly certain I couldn’t pull the prints off and would just look like a plank

Right. Further to the Rant thread, i’ve kicked off my trisuit search again. There are lots of decent looking deals out there, but i’ve settled on a brand i like the look of and seems decent value.
They have 3 offerings.
The cheapest is slightly less aero, super comfy but in a wicked colourway that i love. Around £140.
Then there’s the old and new version of their mid range one - more aero features that the 1st one, decent looking suit but pretty plain. Older one is discounted, good reviews etc but there are no returns on discounted kit, just size swaps. So that holds a bit of a risk. The newer version is block colour - black bottom and blue, green or black top. Looks fine. Older discounted one is £140, new one is £195.
Top end is a nice design, supposedly super aero fabric yada yada. It’s their flagship suit. But it’s £219.
So … colour vs aero vs price. It’s a tricky one.

You’re probably right. I’m not a pro, i’m not going to be winning races or anything. It’s easy to be dragged in to all the hype etc. It’ll be 10 times better than my 10 year old one that i wore last year, that’s for sure.
