Virtual Zwift Rides

So the 13-17% grade is Pot Bank?
Sorry, I’d just assumed it was The Chevin from the tour🙈
(I did wonder where the woods had gone!)

My brother used to live on Cold Bath Road, I sent him a nice screen grab as I cycled past his old house just opposite the playground!

Yep! Nice spot to live :+1:

Took advantage of people pre-TTT to do a 2 lap volcano race, in Cat B and not last #winningbutnotactuallywinning

Lionel got BEASTED by A.brownlee up ADZ in the Zwift ProTei series :rofl::rofl:

For someone who trains INDOORS pre-Covid, to someone who trains mostly outdoors, in Yorkshire, in all weathers, that’s gotta hurt.

Way to go LIONel

4 Times up ADZ?
That’s an “easy” six hours, right!?:rofl:

Fewer ‘reps’ if you do Mont Vens

I saw @stenard ‘s time vs effort up there.
Erm :face_vomiting::face_vomiting::face_vomiting:
No thanks!

Tried TdF, utter failure! Dropped out as the flag dropped, looks like that happened to hundreds judging by the number in the pen and then on the road once it let me back in (never had pedal assist before). Got to the top of the climb and 200m in to the return it dropped out again and didn’t let me back in. Waste of an hour or so. Jon Izaguere (sp) was less than impressed too

I went with GingerBongo Canyon blue, although I hear the red is faster.

Did Big Foot Hills (70km, 720m) this morning. Hadn’t realised Zwift couldn’t handle decimal points in weight, so rather than riding at 68.5kg, I spent the first 40 minutes at 685kg!!!

Managed to correct that, but then had iPad power issues. It just wasn’t charging. Stopped once to get a battery pack. Same issue. Stopped again for a new charger. Same issue. Finally got a new USB cable and that fixed it, but finished my loop on 4% as it drains quicker than it charges. So a close call today!!!

I’m supposed to be doing the TDF mountain course at 5pm, just noticed there’s a fair bit of climbing , maybe the hint was in the mountain bit?

You can always set trainer difficulty to zero and use it as a steady state training session?

I did the 10am one with 4600 others!!
Position 2300 at bottom of epic, 990 at top of radio tower.
Big sprint to get into the all import 800s :joy:

800s is where the gods reside!!!

Just done the 12:00. Ride at tempo, 1600ish of 4900. No technical issues, think a good job by Zwift.

May race it tomorrow if all the big dogs get in the 800s…

I presume you don’t get the mountain badge for completing it?

I got the badge, so you do get it

I was in the same race. Was down at about 2500ish after the first few km. Was up to the 1400’s half way up the Epic just cruising, and then the doorbell went for a delivery. So lost most of the places I’d made. Carried on cruising around. Didn’t bother working hard to keep speed up on the kickers during the descent so lost quite a few places there. No major glitches for me either.

Big day on the bike planned tomorrow with a couple of friends, so wasn’t wanting to put in much effort.

I’m now on the 5pm one - had some fence panels to replace I the back garden (that came down in Feb :upside_down_face:)
