Was hoping it would be mine as well, went to warm up zone, app crashed, went back in and dropped me in Central Pk, goodbye TT.
Did the Italian Crit instead, got a long way to go it seems!

I’ve done 28 straight days, no extra badge though
That is bloody impressive!!!
Unfortunately each further improvement gets harder and harder to attain, but that progress to date is incredible.
Great riding there guys!
I just did a race, 2 laps of Richmond course, 32km. Went in Cat B as per my ftp, but that’s clearly bollocks as I pretty much came last!
. Worked in a group all the way, but couldn’t sprint with them at the end due to equipment limitations. I’m having to basically ride it on a single speed, so I’m not recovering properly in the drafts as I’m just slowly grinding a big (for me) gear, then spinning up to try to watt out.
My time would’ve been half way in cat C. That seems much more reasonable. I think ftp shoud be more like 3.2-3.3 really. I think the ramp test just inflated it as it suits my style of short hard efforts. It’s like running. I can beat guys over a km or a mile that can put close to 2 mins into me at a 5km!
I think if I did a 2 x 8 or a 20 min test, It’d be more honest.
Still, it’s another big effort in the legs! Hr up in z4 the whole way!
I always end these hard sessions with a pain and aching deep in my hammy. Any ideas? Seat too high/low/forward/backward?
Edit - actually I think it’s just pressure on the muscles from my saddle itself. Makes it painful to do a squat movement, but is fine by morninf.
Tempus Fugit TT at 6am after a brutal work week… turns out that wasn’t the best idea I ever had. Rolling out of bed at 5:40 was cruel enough, but trying to put out FTP power for ~25 minutes while still groggy was just one step too far for me. I dialled it back a bit and went at about 262 watt average (FTP is 273). 25:43 final time. Not brilliant but better than I was expecting while sitting in the warm up pen questioning my life choices.
Next up was a spin up the first few corners of the Alpe. I had 100 metres of climbing left to get the (Tron) concept bike unlocked, and I couldn’t leave that goal so near to completion…

Your avatar looks very mean. Like he probably lives in America and owns many guns, and hunts 'gators.
I am a grumpy Scotsman, so near enough!
Nice work on the Tron bike.
A balls to the wall effort 20mins after waking up? No thank you!
Tyres rubbing against the frame ? Need to chuck some 23’s on there chief !
ugg, don’t talk to me about the Tron bike. I got my 50k climbing, waiting for my bike and then realised you had to do it as a challenge, doh! I’m on 57k climbing nw, haven’t bothered. Just slug that TT bike around
I’m 61% of the way to the Tron bike; trouble is I keep doing races, which are generally not very hilly.
Was there a time when Level 25 got it? When I think there were only 25 levels!
I thought it was always 50k climbing? Tour of fire and Ice and Muir and the mountain races for best of both worlds?
Did my clubs group ride. Another climb of box hill. Had trainer difficulty set to max. Almost identical time to last week.
I signed up for one of their training plans. Annoying thing is it sets the time limit for when each workout should be done and only releases certain ones on a particular day. If you miss the time limit its gone. Would rather just have a weeks worth of sessions and let me pick and choose.
Training session at lunch I think. Over the weekend tempted to try the tour of fire and ice course
Did my first ride on the Direto. Putting it together is easy enough. Pairing in Zwift was a bit of a pain. It presents 3 options in each for Controllable, Power, Cadence. No mention in the manual which you select. initially I had no power output, so swapped that. Then realised the resistance wasn’t changing so had to re pair that also.
Minor gripe and sorted now.
Riding it nothing to compare but it felt good. Its not silent but it isn’t loud either. Think my badly adjusted and dirty drive chain was making most of the noise!
It responds really quickly. As soon as the gradient value changes on screen you can feel the difference. On really steep stuff it had a funny feel, almost like the belt is slipping, but that is probably down to my stompy pedal action on climbs.
Another minor gripe is it says not to leave it plugged in. There is no on/off switch so it means you have to pull the plug each time. Its plugged into a 4 socket along with the PC so I can switch that off at the wall. Will have to get is a dedicated extension with a switch.
All in happy with it.
Have you done the calibration? Either in zwift (the little spanner next to the pairing button) or using the Elite app. This sorts my slipping feeling on the Flux - so might be worth a go if you haven’t done it already.
I did do that in Zwift yes. It didn’t show at first because of the pairing issue but once that was sorted it appeared. Only time I noticed the slip was on the 15% climb out the tube station.
I haven’t noticed slip but sometime I hit tube station climb hard and then I takes a while to catch up after I’ve changed gears. Other times I’ll change gear in advance and hit 130prm whilst the gradient takes effect.
That particular incline is just hard to get right IMO. Try it on the others. I’ve never calibrated in Zwift. (didn’t know you could), just on the Elite app.
It’s always been 50k of climbing as far as I know.
The Elite app UX makes Zwift look spectacular
Does it?! Never really read the manual or anything for my original Direto. Do they say why? I’ve left mine plugged in permanently since this lockdown as my trainer and TT bike havent moved from the hallway
As for the pairing thing, you need to pair whatever sensor you want to record for each thing.
I pair my power meter to power and cadence, and the Direto only to the controllable trainer bit. If I’m primarily doing a trainerroad workout, I will unpair the controllable trainer part to ensure no conflict of signals.
