My connection worked today, sadly the legs didn’t and then my head went which ended up with just 2 of the 4 laps of the Watopia flat race this afternoon, probably did too much yesterday.
I didn’t do the full 25 though. Just did another 15 to top it all up.
Wasn’t as bad as I thought though, so I’ll try again in a week or two.
I did a bit of searching for a quick ref guide for the route badges and found this, pretty handy fo planning the next day’s ride etc.
I ticked off one of the short London circuits tonight.
Also, if any of you want the running badges you can do it without a treadmill if you have a recent Garmin that has the virtual run option, I tried it with my 945 tonight and got the short badge.
I created an XL spreadsheet but not sure I can upload it here?
Did 26 laps of the volcano today, meant to do it yesterday when there was a big Zwift insider group ride but didn’t have enough time. Got the three badges and the 100km one obviously, plus the 30 ride ons, (21 short of the Jensie)
I have a spreadsheet I can filter for the badges and routes. Think I’ve got 5 (cycling) non-route badges to get now; 100 mile ride, 100 kmh, 100 ride ons, Everest and 25x Alpe (I’ve done 5 so far). 100 miles will be done when I get round to the full PRL
London Pretzel today. First 32km easy just under an hour then final 24k took another hour. Seems it sends you all over London first before crossing to do Fox hill, back for a few km in london the back to Surrey for Box hill. Would be a good route if they split the climbs more. Still quite good though
Back in the game! God I love my club. Within minutes of me lamenting the situation on my instastory, a friend put me in touch with her dad (who I knew anyway from a training camp) and I was able to arrange borrowing his old kickr
A 2.5hr round trip zipcar to North London later, and I have it setup. Having hardly been out of the house, this one trip was definitely “essential” to maintain that.
One for the covid thread, but my God Kilburn was excessively busy as I drove through both times. It was heaving. And stopped at traffic lights I was seeing people spot one another on the street, rush towards one another in big “long time no see” hugs. It was rather shocking and not what I’ve been seeing in my part of London at all
I hope he’s fleecing you for an exorbitant rental contract on that Kickr. They’re like gold dust aren’t they?!
That’s you on rogue’s gallery!
Hijacking this thread slightly on a tangent. I got the That’s Amore run badge and sub 8 mile at dinnertime. I’ll try and tick a few more off, bit of a pain carrying your phone unless you have a run bag, and leave the screen on.
When you’re doing the Volcano Circuit multiple lap badge ride, who do you know how many laps you’ve done, just by calculating overall distance?
No, it has a little counter at the finishing gantry
Rain tomorrow morning, so Tempus Fugit TT at 7am is the order of the day.
Right so got the elite suito to go alongside the tacx flux.
Only one ride in and feels quite and smooth. Don’t quite get the calibration piece yet and no option in zwift.
However, my god there’s so much movement up front. On its own the unit feels solid, two adjustable feet on the sides (middle one isn’t adjustable!?!). When your in the saddle it’s ok, not too noticeable but stand up and the front end gets lively. I’m no sprinter but putting power down - didn’t like it at all.
So other elite owners, do you get the same? My flux is like a brick, if there’s any give its going to be my frame snapping!
Swapped wifes bike on the suito and same.
Any ideas? Or is this normal??
Ta
I have nothing to compare but when I put it together and adjusted the feet it felt rock solid. But put the bike on and there is alot of lateral movement.
It still feels solid but it definitely moves. Doesnt bother me, especially now you said yours does the same. I was concerned it wasnt right but sounds like it is
Did the Tempus Fugit loop tonight, it hand a longer lead out than I expected.
My flux doesn’t move a bit. What bothers me is that the wobble starts to go against my motion so compounding it further.
Wasn’t even pushing it today… Hate to think what it would be like up the radio tower at full whack.
Can’t see anything else on line either.
I’ve not noticed anything like this on my Direto. I have my front wheel in a plastic block. Everything always seems solid to me.
Right. I was wondering how you did it.
Zwift app running on phone and virtual run mode on running watch?
