I think that’s the best set-up anyway. You’re not likely to ride the TT mike much in the winter so stick it on the turbo permanently so you can get used to the position and less faffing around taking bikes on and off.
Yes this was very much the plan. Just needed to find the time to dig it out and set it up.
Had a weird knocking/loose bit at a certain part of the pedal stroke, but i think i’ve fixed it now. It was a slightly loose nut in the bottom bracket.
Hands are frozen now from mucking about with all that metal in the freezing shed!
A load of shit as expected. Legs are humphed. Still, with the other boys on the ride it kept me honest, so I didn’t bin it and did what I could.
Got beaten by a Chinese guy at the end that pushed 6 w/kg for the last 2kms. Miraculously when he went past me his avatar wasn’t pedalling for the 20 secs I saw him. He did something similar up box Hill. But then backed off for the 2nd half before catching me after the tunnel.
I noticed those 2 gravitationally-advantaged riders gain a slight gap & jumped on the pedals to catch, saw you were suddenly 2-3 seconds back @Jorgan - but then you seemed to stay there for ages. Thought you were going to get back on
Once it got to the hill I had to put out 360W to stay with the group. Which I can’t. So got dropped like a hot stone.
